and do we know it really happen just that way? I have learned not be believe all we read or hear. My dad taught me that 60 or more years ago.

Did anyone read the entire story? There were many reasons for this kid to be held, thanks to the fact that he was with 2 people who were NOT legal, and when he was an anchor baby, his mother falsified documents, which caught up to him when he went through that checkpoint.

As for the conditions - prove it. Where's the evidence?

Doesn't matter if it was his fault or not, it's one of the reasons he was detained. As for the other 2, he was in the car with them, they were on their way to some soccer thing, and you want to pretend he didn't know them.

:smackI like how some are ignoring the abhorrent conditions because "there were reasons to detain him".

It takes a matter of minutes to verify his birth certificate anyway.
