Say what you want about Trump but he’s no political reptile like Pelosi or Schumer or sleepy Joe Biden. He is a one percenter, when he commits to something he gives it 100% 365 days of the year. If he’s on the golf course he is working some angle.
Biden, Pelosi, Schumer have no idea what real work or success is.
Neither the House nor the Senate can screw things up when they are on vacation. If we can get Trump to vacate the White House for two months and the courts to shut down for the summer we might be on to something. With Global Warming, we could maybe convince them to shut down longer.

The senate is closed for the month of August but even if that wasn’t the case what is the point of sticking around to watch McConnell block bills. The senate rejected a bill to strengthen our election system, do they hate America. Trump has no agenda or plan for anything, he’s too busy tweeting and trying to free rocky.
