If a person doesn't like pork then they have the choice to not eat it.

Why are they catering to Muslims all of a sudden ?
Because they're suck-ups.

Then Muslims can open their own day-care centers and cater to Islamic dietary laws to their heart's content.

In that way, no one's belief system is rammed down the throats of others who do not subscribe to that belief system.

That is the moral and ethical thing to do, by the way.

Muslims can have dogs as work animals but they are considered unclean, contact with dog saliva requires ritual cleansing.

As for the daycares, I would be ok with going as far as a separate kitchen space to insure Muslim food didn't come into contact with pork. But telling all non Muslim children they can no longer have any pork is insanity. And just plays into the hands of the Far Right.

Well that seems to have held true for Jews. But the Muslims see it differently.
If they don't want pork then no one else will get it either.

Yes, as we’ve all stated previously.

This was a day-care center. I doubt the kids even understand what the fuss is all about.

Anyway, the plan has been shelved. Problem solved, for now.

This has larger implications for German society, as this is just the beginning. People moving to a new country need to assimilate and not demand their ways take precedence over that of their adopted country.

Pigs are smarter than dogs. So are a lot of other farm animals. A recent study shows just how much smarter. It will blow the minds of the first world dog lovers. I have two so I know how dumb they are. I may love them, but they aren't the only game in town when it comes to intelligence. LOL Most clueless Americans have never interacted with a farm animal to know.

For their new paper, Osthaus and Lea compared dogs to species in each of those three categories, such as wolves (a close ancestor), wild dogs and hyenas (carnivorans and social hunters), cats (carnivorans and domesticated animals), dolphins and chimpanzees (social hunters) and horses and pigeons (domesticated animals). Across many cognitive categories—from the ability to draw information from sensory stimuli to problem-solving to social intelligence—the researchers found that other animals could match or exceed dogs’ abilities.

And if they can't draw an image of their prophet Mohammed, then no one else can either. They are very unforgiving of heretics.
