And this obsession with Till is offensive. It's one murder. There's nothing special or remarkable about it other than the likelihood that it spared a lot of women a lot of pain. His dad was executed for raping and killing women when he was in the Army in Italy in WWII, and there is nothing to suggest that the apple fell very far from the tree.
False accusations that led to a lunching and torture are not wrong.

Good, they deserve to be suspended. Anyone who feels the need to do something like that is a sick-minded person. I wouldn't say what's wrong with U of MS students. I would ask what is wrong with the culture in some places where some individuals feel this is okay.

It just shows that some people choose to be bigots no matter what. Anyone who would say something like that it better off saying "I think Emmett Till deserved it". At least we would know exactly where said person stands.

Give me a break. Put enough pressure on a senile old lady, and you can get her to say anything.

Maybe, or maybe not. The kid wasn't a saint, but nothing he did was worth killing him for. Here is the thing. Making a pass at a woman is no reason to kill someone. If someone made a pass at my sister, I would not like it. However, I wouldn't kill that man over it. It's not worth taking someone's life. And if it was such a big deal, why did the Bryants just call the police? Last I checked, there was no proof of an assault or anything. Just a teenager making a pass at a woman. The persons who killed Emmett Till should have rotted in prison for the rest of their lives or given a trip to old sparky.

If I had either, I'd have no problem doing that. Till was innocent.

So that’s your excuse, nothing better.

Do you also have an opinion on the students in the picture.
