I agree, but the Democrats want to signal to their Far Left Progressive base that they are all on board with Anti-Capitalist, Anti-American, Anti-Jobs policy. This is just more Kabuki Theater from the Democrats.

because it isnt about emissions, pollution, the climate etc. Its about control of the people and getting their money.
None of the principles have any idea what the proper amount of emissions should be, or the ideal temp of planet earth or how to regulate said temp. If anything they will be the ones destroying planet earth.

"Its about control of the people and getting their money."

Isn't this the mantra of the capitalist? And here the Green New Deal was being labeled socialist.

Sehr interesting.

You really don't understand capitalism do you? Or are you just pretending for dramatic purposes?

Jeez, lighten up. It's a Saturday morning and we both should be outside doing something worthwhile.

Good for you. The orb weavers are getting heavy in these parts. I'll hold up a stick like an umbrella to keep from getting a faceful of web.

Have a good walk.

For pollution it worked because you introduce scrubber, pollution controls, switch to lower sulfur coal or recently switch to gas. You cannot remove CO2 from the process other than increased efficiency which is something they will be doing with or without a cap and trade policy.

This isn't just about power either, the cement and steel industry are also two major emitters. You only need that for roads, bridges, schools, airports, housing and the sidewalk outside your home.....
