You must be someone who wrongly believes Freedom of speech means freedom from consequences.
I didn't see any speech in that photo...maybe I am missing something?
What I see is treasonous, vile and murderous intentions...contrary to everything decent human beings stand for.
Of course, I didn't say they couldn't do it....and face the consequences. That's my real point - in the America of Trump today, it is actually of benefit to many to be hateful, treasonous and racist. There are no doubt many who would hire these guys due to their belief in the lost cause.
That's a much bigger issue then "can they be prosecuted legally for posting a pic?".
Even if it were illegal, the fact that millions are like them and support them bode poorly for the USA.
I'm going to guess to show off to their friends what they think of Emmett Till, or any other black person for that matter. As I said, they have the right to take a photo that reveals their character. It clearly does reveal it.
What I posted still stands as it had to do with the overly dramatic posts on this thread.

waste of time, these idiots will soon be introduced to the real World. Where these pictures will follow them around for decades(thank you internet age) and they will have to explain this behavior to future friends, employers and romantic interests. Try to live that down for the next fifty years.
That's a good enough punishment for me (although that might put their resumes at the top of the heap for some jobs in Mississippi).

No crime as of yet unless they can factually say that they shot the monument. Thats a very low standard for behavior but then again it has been regularly used by our president. The monument has been destroyed several times to the point where they are replacing it with a 500 pound monument. You can bet this trio has acceptance from many of their comrades at home and in their fraternity.
I started a thread yesterday that was deleted for some reason, someone was actually arguing that the woman who recanted her story did nothing wrong and was pressured.
. I suppose investigators could pick up the spent bullets there and compare them to their riffles to see if they are a match.
