Kids beat up their toys. That's why you should only buy cheap ones or teach kids to take good care of their toys. Better still, let them use their imaginations and create their own toys.

They shouldn't have made them at all, imo but if they must, they should have been odd colors like purple or green.

Children in Egypt played with black stuffed material dolls, nicknamed Ghuliwogs, which were often purchased by the soldiers returning to England. This name would eventually become the Golliwogs we know today.
