The irony is a lot of the regulations Trump is relaxing, are in areas where his voters reside. This problem could be self-solving. And it's not like they can blame Democrats, it's their own guy doing it to them.

The rules being changed are FEDERAL rules. In fact, Trump's EPA is going so far as to say the polluters can appeal decisions but the locality cannot. Got that? The people being affected are not allowed to appeal but the company doing the polluting can. This has zero to do with Democratic governors. Democrats are very much on record opposing these toxic pollutants. This is all on Trump and the GOP.

Again, this has been going on since Trump was a little kid and Dupont has been scum of the earth for over 100 years.

OP, this has been a problem for years, and it could have been a very interesting and thought-provoking discussion.

If only you hadn't mentioned Trump. :/

And yet, those 2015 revelations were met with next to no action.
Before Trump declared "fake news", I found the media to be pretty useless. Nowhere in this article does the writer mention steps these people can take to protect themselves like many others have done and continue to do in better communities.

Flint was not due to federal laws. In fact Flint followed a Republican governor takeover.

Former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder's phone seized in Flint water investigation
https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/03/polit...sis/index.html

"Shortly after taking office in 2011, Snyder appointed powerful emergency managers to oversee the cash-strapped municipalities of Detroit and Flint. And those managers promoted Flint’s temporary turn to the Flint River for its water supply in 2014 as part of a cost-saving measure."

What Trump is doing affects FEDERAL LAWS. There is a huge difference.

Again, this has been going on for decades. Long before Trump was in office, so please tell me how this is all on Trump?

On the GOP? What did Obama do about it? Clinton? Democrat governors? What did any of them do for 47 years?
