These communities have been in a terrible state for the better part of 50 years.

So, it is probably not going to be a quick fix.

From the looks of things perhaps he should spend a bit more time in Baltimore. He doesn't appear to have done much for his constituents in DC. Can someone tell us what his accomplishments have been?

Nice try.

You are all better at spinning than Trump is

What is Trump doing for those communities?

He's as responsible for helping all of our communities as their elected officials are.

Or are you saying he's only responsible for the nice parts of the USA?
Honestly Trump has been in politics 2 1/2 years. These politicians who have been in office for decades have lived high on the hog. In the meantime their constituents suffer. I would think the lowest black unemployment numbers prove he is doing something right for the communities of color. Also he supports criminal justice reform. Yes Trump says things that offend many politicians. But honestly they deserve it.

It has nothing to do with race, that's only being brought up to ignore the truth of what Trump tweeted.
If it’s true, why doesn’t Trump fix it? He’s the President of Baltimore too.

What about Trump’s own hometown? They’re rat infested too. They have plenty of decay. Why doesn’t he fix that?

Exactly. But Trump implies that this Cummings can't criticize failings of this administration because of this long standing issue in Baltimore.

But Trump has much as an obligation to address those problems as Cummings does.

President doesn't get to pick and choose which communities he thinks he represents.

Black employment has nothing to do with Trump. Blacks get all the credit for that.

Looks like Elijah has been Baltimore's representative for more than 20 years.

Sure it does. The economy is good. Businesses are hiring. African Americans are getting jobs. It's a great thing!

Why don't you ask Bill DeBlasio? He's the mayor. President Trump never held that office.

So. And?

What is he supposed to do about a shrinking tax base and Baltimore losing most of its major industries?
