It seems very odd that the left immediately calls Trump a "racist" for saying Baltimore is a dump. It is- have any of you been there? How is calling a place that is a dump "racist"? Can one no longer speak the truth in the eyes of modern day leftists? If you don't acknowledge a fact, can a problem ever be solved?
Is calling parts of Appalachia a dump "racist" as well? The Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful, but many parts of Appalachia are dumps- trust me- we hike there all the time. The North Carolina area can actually be pretty wealthy, but far eastern TN, far western VA and WV can be pretty dumpy. Racist?
MANY of these congressmen go on the attack and are so focuses on partisan political issues, that they neglect their own districts and what can be done for them.
Instead of wanting open borders and freebies for illegals, why don't Cummings and AOC focus on helping their districts, which obviously need a lot of help. Are they neglecting their duties as Congressmen?
We have been called "racists" for decades ANY time we dare say anything negative that might have colored included.
The honest truth here is that Trump's reelection campaign is a White Nationalist platform, plain and simple. Trump's platform is: blame the immigrants, blame the minorities.
He is ramping up the racial dog whistles and overt racism. His political calculation is that by making the election a referendum on race that he will attract working class white males to his side. George Wallace would be proud.
Dude...you're the one claiming to hear these "racial dog whistles." Ergo, we must conclude you are the racist dog for whom they are intended. (You shouldn't be like that. It's not nice.)
In Elijah Cummings, the rest of us see a Congressman who is derelict in his duty to his own district, a sentiment often expressed by his constituents themselves. In that regard, he has outlived his usefulness, even as he continues to maintain his hold on power and privilege, all the while refusing to address the manifold ills afflicting the district he purports to represent.
It’s not a racist statement, but it’s inflamatory. There’s quite a few cities with similar problems, and to single Baltimore out is strange. Maybe it’s because I’m not an east coast guy, but it’s not the place I’d have singled out.
Watch Charm City on Amazon Prime. Baltimore May suck, but it is NOT a dump.
"and to single Baltimore out is strange"
Please try to keep up BEFORE posting. It is NOT strange if you know the context.
He was responding to DEM rep cummings who made comments about him.
"“Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous,” he tweeted Saturday morning.Trump was apparently referring to Cummings' questioning of border officials in his role as chairman of the House Oversight Committee. This month, he yelled at acting Homeland Security chief Kevin McAleenan for saying the department was doing its “level best” when it comes to the humanitarian crisis at the border." "What does that mean? What does that mean when a child is sitting in their own feces, can't take a shower? Come on man,” he yelled."
"Trump said that detention centers at the border are “clean, efficient and well run, just very crowded” before saying “no human being would want to live” in Cummings’ district. “Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!"
And as usual the 1st thing the left does is to call Trump a RACIST for daring to say something negative about a colored person.
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., decried on Saturday what she described as a “racist” attack by President Trump on Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., -- after the president called the chairman of the House Oversight Committee a “brutal bully” and said his Baltimore district was “more dangerous” than the southern border."

Honestly if you want to see him call out your Appalachian town, just have your hometown politician attack him publicly, and let it make national news.
Trump is an equal opportunity offender. He'll come right out and call whatever town your dad is from a **** hole. Guaranteed.
Trying to cast everything as "racist" is why nobody cares about that term anymore (that, along with the bastardization of the term by race theory professors to alter the word's original meaning).
Keep in mind the White House has been converted into a senior living facility. The fat guy telling kids to get off his lawn is just old and a tad demented. Give him some slack.
That sounds better than the Slave House as is was referred to Michelle Obama. And take note, the hapless community agitator has done a big time runner from his hometown of Chicago, one of the worst war zones on this planet.
Trump is president of the United States of America. Baltimore is part of that.
Why does Trump attack and insult an entire city that falls under his rule? If Donald Trump has a beef with House Rep Cummings, why not just insult him? Which is normal for Trump, attacking elected officials. Why insult and degrade an entire city of people?
PER USUAL, if a democrat did what Trump is doing, insulting some deep red city/state, the GOP and Trump supporters here would be going nuts. But Trump supporters like it when Mushroom Donny attacks people of color, so they just laugh and excuse it.
Trump is president of the United States of America. Baltimore is part of that......
And he's calling out a Congressman who called out another part of the USA while completely ignoring the needs of the district which HE represents.
Quite the double standard you have.
