But as I've mentioned before, we're seeing these lies of racism by the Dems as they are hoping to anger enough black people to increase their voter turnout in 2020, the division they are causing to the country be damned. What a sick and twisted way to try to achieve your political goals.

DTJ is making some in the black community re-think. I don't think the lies will work with older blacks (35 yrs and up). As a black American, our family in L.A. (between La Brea & La Cienega, south of Coliseum) notice the lack of progress in our part of L.A. The homelessness is spreading and you have $1.5-2 million dollar homes 1.5 miles away.

Homelessness has always been in Santa Monica and Venice beach since the early 90s but since there's less benches, some of the younger people are living in cars, parks, tents on sidewalks or sleep outside large stores that have abandoned that location.
DJT has also criticized Rubio, Jeb Bush, and is always on Schumer and Pelosi too. He is just old-school and will be on your ass if your job performance is suspect.

Parts of Baltimore are horrible just as parts of L.A. and Cleveland are filthy & poverty stricken. People today just don't like hard-asses and reality checks in society. They don't like to hear it at work or on TV and surely not from the Pres. of the U.S. I'm glad I am over 45 and can take it.

** However, I certainly wouldn't criticize the dems the way he does on twitter or to the media. The dems shouldn't lie about him. They need to just campaign on what they can actually & will do for their district. Put the impeachment talk to bed. That is a pipedream. And even if he was miraculously impeached by the House, he'll still be elected in 2020. Their rhetoric, especially AOC, is so embarrassing & nonsensical.

The fact that not one Trump supporter on City-Data has suggested that maybe Trump tone down his highly controversial remarks. Instead, they talk until they're blue in the face trying to defend all his comments and how they're not racist.

Sad.

Racists don't disagree much with other racists. They share the same bigotry.

You’re right. People want to give him the benefit of the doubt...that he might change and act Presidential. But they shouldn’t, because he’s not going to change. He’s too often going to act as you describe above.

This clown from Baltimo is complainting about living conditions not under his authority thousnads of miles away,
So what ?

If he thinks Cummings is wrong re the border, why does he care if Cummings criticizes him ?

It Is likely one of three reasons, or a combination of those reasons:

In no particular order....

1. His general ‘thin-skinned-ness’.

2. He thinks Cummings is right in at least some of what is going on at the border and doesn’t like being confronted by the truth.

3. As pointed out earlier in this thread, he doesn't like whatever role Cummings may play in subpoenaing Ivanka and Jared.

YET he isnt working directly to help the ones who voted directly to give him authority to help them...Thus you got poor people living like rats with rats and their elected official is busy complaning about the illegal aliens in detention not getting treated like they are in a Holiday Inn. This my friends is what President Trump was trying to point out in a way he wouldnt be misunderstood.
Trump didn’t set out on his own to comment on Baltimore hoping that Cummings would listen and better serve his constituents, he was reacting to words from Cummings about the border that he didn’t like.

There a time in a certain section of St. Louis where no utility service person would go into a large low income housing project without a police escort. Nobody expected the congressman to fix the problem.

Can a congressman use campaign funds to buy rat traps and pass them out?

I agree BUT, local politician CONSTANTLY ask for money from the fed for ALL their problems, right now L.A. and Frisco are asking for money to clean up the homeless and feces mess THEY created, and many fed politicians run on " the money I CAN get for you".

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA......
Cummings isn’t the President.

Trump is the President.

The concept of not ‘punching down’ goes completely over Trump’s head.

Typical lib banter.

One can never criticize the actions of a black politician in America- to do so would be "racist"!

This is the lunacy of the left and their "racist" notions, as they cannot treat and accept a black politician like anyone else. If Trump had said the same thing about a white or Asian district, would you call it "racist"?

Liberals are the biggest frauds on the planet and transfer their own personal insecurities and thoughts upon others. Libs feel minorities are inferior to them, and thus are not held to the same standard. This, of course, is actual "racism" and the libs reveal their heartfelt beliefs with these thoughts.
