35 = the number of candidates that Trump has selected then withdrew for an administration job because of poor vetting, unqualified, no support from his party. I recall over and over that he said "I'll choose the best people".

the idea that he didn't vet for the top intelligence position - and allowed the heat from the press to be his deciding factor just reinforces his gross incompetence as President of the United States......Russia/Putin is laughing at loud over all of this. China too.

Likely Putin put him up to this.

Perhaps they believed that Moscow Mitch had enough pull in the Senate to push it through.

But seems even some Republican Senators balked at voting in a DNI who spread nutball conspiracy tales, lied left and right, and showed little interest in national intelligence.

Go figure.

Trump is a true Manchurian candidate. He'd filled the cabinet with traitors to America if it suited his agenda.

puppetmaster Putin must be thrilled

Trey Gowdy gave the inside info about why Ratcliffe withdrew.

First of all, by the time the media had accused him of auditioning for DNI, he'd already been offered and accepted the job. So much for fake news.

McConnell and Burr didn't know much about him and said Susan Collins wouldn't vote for him.so gave him thumbs down. It'll be interesting to see who those swamp creatures pick.

Trey discusses other things in this short interview: explosive FBI transcripts about Papadopoulos with exculpatory evidence that was withheld and the weekend shootings.

Also, the point brought up by Trey Gowdy contrasting the experience of John Ratcliffe and Senator Kamala Harris is exceptionally acute. Both Ratcliffe and Harris were State Prosecutors; Ratcliffe for Texas and Harris for California. Both Ratcliffe and Harris sit on the same committees – one House and one Senate…

Ratcliffe has been in the house longer than Harris in the Senate. Yet Ratcliffe was accused of being unqualified for the job of ODNI, while Harris is claimed -by those same voices- to be qualified for President.

How can Trey Gowdy talk about Kamala's qualifications for president when he supports Donald Trump...what qualifications did Donald have?

Trey conveniently left out that it was not only Ratcliffe's lack of experience, but he embellished/lied on his qualifications and background. Why didn't Trey address that?
