This is an objectively false statement...
The recession was caused by loosened loan restrictions and regulations. Obama's policies focused on improving those areas.

What are you talking about?

we (as a country) have a spending problem
Running deficits in the hottest economy in 60 years is not a mistake, its a disaster.

who blamed Obama??

liberal policies of the 90's caused the recession

90's had all the freetrade (globalist) policies starting with nafta...23 of them....globalism pushed the outsourcing of jobs

1995 Clintons chief of hud Henry Cisneros changed the rules of mortgages.....easy mortgages caused the housing bubble/bust

btw both bush and Obama CONTINUED the easy mortgage policies

Two things.

1) The deficit began to decline under Obama ONLY because the GOP Congress wouldn't allow him to spend all that he wanted to spend. Remember, he tried (and was rejected) to enact another "stimulus" bill. Even with that, however, Obama still added more debt than every prior president combined!

2) The GOP under Trump introduced a massive spending cut plan, but the plan was filibustered by Senate Democrats; this was back when the GOP controlled both houses of Congress. Truth is that until you get rid of the filibuster, Democrats will continue to block necessary spending cuts. But that doesn't mean that POTUS should otherwise throw the towel in on his agenda.
