But don't try to sell me that Obama did anything about the debt. He didn't. In fact he ran up more debt than all of the other presidents we have ever had. Trump might eclipse him if he wins in 2020.

That's FAIR AND BALANCED.
Ignoring the deficit and great recession that Trump inherited shows your true partisan GOP colors.

So you prefer tax cuts based on political party. Disgusting.

Tax revenues have not increased enough to offset increased spending under the GOP.

Trump signed the second biggest spending bill in history over a year ago after passing the deficit ballooning tax cuts

And you ignore the huge deficits and DEBT Obama ran up, and the increased Fed Revenue due to the Trump Tax Cuts. You are a Democrat Party, Progressive Hack. Period. Oh, and did you keep your Health plan, PERIOD!???

How about the Democrat Congress sending the spending bill to Trump? They have no responsibility? They scream to the Media when the Republicans try to cut spending and not sign the Budgets. Then the Media cries the Republicans want to kill poor people because they won't get their EBT cards!

That was a pretty good interview by Chris Wallace. Watching Mickey Mouse Mulvaney getting slapped around. Where does Trump find these guys?

Yes, I like that the states that like high taxes including NY, NJ, Conn, Mass, Illini are getting their wish.

Obama still holds the record for budget deficit in a year and a Presidential term....I would like it if Trump and the Democrat Congress focused more on lowering the deficit, but we need a Republican Congress to make it work again....and everybody with a brain knows it.

Federal revenue is down for 2018 or close to what it was in 2016, but spending did increase. If they dint have the tax cuts the budget would be in better shape. Trump indicated he would balance the budget in 10 years, now we will have historic deficits. Thee is nothing preventing Trump from proposing his own spending bill. We need more revenue, we are not balancing this budget from spending cuts. We should have gotten rid of the Bush cuts that were renewed under Obama, instead we made a bad situation worse.

It's Congress job to pass bills, the President either signs or doesn't....all of our highest deficits have one thing in common, Nancy Pelosi Speaker and passing the spending bills.

No I'm not, this is something that needs to be addressed. Trump and Republicans are rightly criticized for it. What I find humorous is tax and spend Democrats criticizing him for it...

The Democrats had NO PROBLEM when Obama ran up the DEBT more than any previous U.S. President COMBINED. That was fine, and the useful idiot Obama supporters (Democrats) didn't say a word. That was criminal.

Facts

LOL, it went down from 1.4 Trillion. If you are putting say $5K on a CC every year and you have some extraordinary event one year where you put $14K on it.... there is no reason to celebrate taking 7 years to get it back down to the $5K.

The reductions in the deficit under Obama only look good using 2009 as a baseline because it's an extraordinarily high amount, try using 2008 as baseline.
