It didn’t get taxed into extinction. You never had health issues if you’re making that claim.

There is no such thing as Trumpcare. It was just a pile of meaningless slogans buried in the chaos of Trump's addled mind and will never see the light of day, though he'll bellow lots of empty promises at the campaign rallies and his cult will call it policy.

But wasn't Medicare Fraud King Rick Scott supposed to be coming up with something? Lol--it will be reflective of healthcare swamp monsters. Scott never met an insurance lobbyist or insurance company donor he didn't want to be in league with.

Total (per capita) HC expenditure in this country is about 11k per year. Who would you like to cover that?

The out of control cost of HC has nothing to do with ACA. But you knew that. Nobody else spends 20% of GDP for HC, nobody.

Big fail on this.

(Oh, BTW, Colonel Sanders also said that Baltimore was a dump)
If Obama and Sanders each said that, then they were lying.

Gruber gave a speech at the University of Rhode Island where he admitted that containing costs wasn't a priority/wasn't the goal/wasn't what it was about......that it was about/the focus was...drumroll.....enrollment/getting as many people signed up as possible.

As I've posted before, I think he figured he could say whatever he wanted to/let his mouth 'write checks' that he thought he he would never have to worry would be 'cashed' because he didn't think there was a chance in H E double toothpicks that he would win.

Not shocking.

Both parties are addicted to the money of big pharma. Congress represents them, not us.

The railroad has excellent insurance. Obamacare shouldn’t have affected you ONE BIT. You already had insurance. There was no fine for you to pay.

You right wing Republicans are incredibly imaginative.
I knew a railroad engineer 20 years ago. He bragged how awesome his health insurance was. I doubt much changed.

Trump changed the rhetoric from repeal to REPLACE.

Trump campaigned on REPLACING Obamacare with something better that would take care of EVERYONE at a FRACTION of the cost.

It is now apparent to the most casual observer, these were empty words. It’s right up there with Obama’s blah blah about how the ACA was going to cover EVERY American and cut a typical family’s premium by $2500.

TWO back to back POTUS’ over promised and under delivered.

Going into 2020, there’s the Medicare for All thing being pushed by some Democrats vying for the nomination. The thing about Medicare is that no provider can be mandated to accept Medicare for reimbursement. While most do, many limit the number of Medicare patients.

Medicare is closing in on 55 years old. Medicare Part D for medication coverage is now 13 years old. Nonetheless, no Congress has agreed to authorize Medicare to negotiate medication prices or purchase meds in bulk from other countries. It is my understanding the Trump Admin wants to grant authority to states/ Medicaid to buy from other countries. Not clear if this is an actual intent or a negotiation tactic.

So long as politicians put politics and lobbies before all else, not likely much will change in any meaningful manner.
