If the U.S does adopt a medicare for all system how will smoking and it's affects be dealt with?

Canada and smoking :

Quote:
In a province where we are grappling with rising health care costs we should be doing more to prevent kids from starting, to support people who are trying to quit investing in tobacco control,” said Pasiechnik. “It is very concerning to me, as a person who loves this province as a person who wants to stay in this province."

Smoking a actually reduces healthcare costs because dead people don’t need healthcare, and even if that wasn’t the case, there’s all the tax revenue brought in by cigarette sales that the government could use to fund healthcare.

That was a line out of a 60-70s era British comedy Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister. It was as false then as it is now.

Probably the same way that the effects of alcoholism, drug use and pigging out on too much junk food is dealt with.

It will be dealt with just as in other countries with UHC, government paid PSAs, and full size pictures of cancer of the mouth and other graphic medical images on cigarette packs.

When you take things from Government, then rely on them, you become DEPENDENT, and CONTROLLED. They can put all kinds of stipulations in anything they do when they "give" you stuff others pay for.
