I don't think it's that they can't understand it. It's more that they don't want to.
It's the exact same thing when you try to answer the question "if humans evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?" You can give the scientific answer yet they won't accept it and will continue asking that same question. Why? They don't want an answer because asking that question makes them feel intellectually superior.
You can't just make-up the title "warmers" to prove your point. It is climate change, and encompasses a wide range of weather extremes that are out of the ordinary. No one weather occurrence proves or disproves it.

That might be true with some of them, but many more truly are simply too stupid to understand that they are wrong, that climate and weather are two very separate and distinct things. Basically, the same kids who flunked science in school are attempting to school the rest of us on science now. Or math, as one poster here tried. It's both hilarious and scary at the same time, because these are the idiots who are in charge right now at this pivotal moment in human history.
