Its all garbage. Every "serious" candidate on either side is a complete train wreck.

PGE has been talking about shutting down high-tension lines during windstorms in high-risk areas as a precautionary fire prevention measure. But that's got nothing to do with the overall supply.

BTW, new homes in CA are required to have solar panels. We do, and it supplies more than enough to zero out our utility bill including charging our electric car. We absolutely love our solar installation.
I guess you forgot the Enron scandal, when they were manufacturing a fake power shortage to scam hundreds of millions of dollars from their customers. There were brownouts all over the state in 1999 and 2000, but it was just crooks flipping switches.

We seriously have CNN commentators on air talking about what candidates are going to deliver a "clap back" ritght now. Our election coverage and our collective IQ is that of a 7th grader in one of the worst school districts in the country. Good luck thinking this country is smart enough to elect anything more than a knuckle dragging cave man. Go ahead and "clap back" to that while we watch the country fall into ruin like a 3rd world country.

After watching the 2nd debate..

The Fox Theater is beautiful, really nice venue.

Tim Ryan couldn't be bothered to put his hand over his heart? Lost some respect from me.

Front runner: Bernie. I like Bernie in many ways but absolutely disagree with him on immigration.

The former governor from Montana made some excellent points as did Marianne and Elizabeth Warren.

I swear I have seen the words "clap back" on so many things with the media lately. I don't even hear that crap from my teens. They roll their eyes and say it's stupid. The news media should be setting the example...not venturing into Urban Dictionary and tween/teen talk.

Not just teachers, the Dems' platform is to strip all union member workers of their cadillac plan private health insurance. That's a losing position if I ever saw one.

You may have noticed, if you were paying attention, that only about 2 of those in this debate want to do away w/insurance companies in the mix. There will also only be a few of those in the debate tomorrow who do.

Most of the Dems want to build on the ACA, add a public option, or expand Medicare/Medicaid, things like that. These are just ideas. We have millions of Americans without health care, or able to afford the coinsurance and deductibles even if they have insurance. We're the only First World country that doesn't view health care as a right, so we're the only one that has millions without it. It's good to get ideas about it.

I think most Americans probably are on prescription drugs, don't you? We have an obesity and diabetes epidemic. (Funny you should mention clowns...clowns are all orangey, aren't they? Barnum & Bailey showmen...entertainers...performers....remind you of someone?)

Only a few of the Democratic candidates want to remove insurance companies from the health care field, so that hc won't be a for-profit business for them. That does add a lot of money to the cost of health care in the U.S. Most of the candidates want to add a public option to the ACA and/or expand Medicare/Medicaid, things like that.

Some of the other First World countries have single payer, but ins. cos. still exist for those who can afford to pay them (since that adds another layer of cost, on top of the cost of health care).

Yeah..I think he said Mexico would pay for The Wall, too.
And that he'd do a yuge infrastructure program to add more jobs than we've ever seen.
And that he'd repeal the ACA on Day One and replace it with better insurance, the best insurance, insuring everyone in the country at much less cost.

And that he'd ban Muslims from coming into the country.
And that he'd stop Carrier Co. from moving to Mexico.
And that he'd bring back the steel manufacturing business in the U.S.
And that he'd make GM so profitable that it would add back those thousands of jobs that were lost. He even told people in MI not to sell their homes, but to keep their homes...their jobs would be on the way back.

And that he'd bring back coal mining, so miners would have so much work again. There would be so many jobs that we'd say, "Stop with the jobs! We can't take so many jobs, any more!"

Does anyone really believe that such a fool could, or would, do such things? How is anyone dumb enough to believe such nonsense? Oh, wait...that wasn't Beto who said those stupid things.

Bernie and Harris. Two Dem frontrunners are effectively on board with screwing union member workers. That's what Dems stand for now.
