What do you suggest they be called? I'm using "haters" in the literal sense and not in the modern slang sense. Mostly I'm referring to those who have a very strong dislike for the president. Call the anti-Trump crowd or Never Trumpers if it makes you feel better.
Regardless of what term you use to describe them you'd have to be willfully blind or in complete denial to not acknowledge the fact that there is a lot of hatred or animus towards Trump among his critics. There's nothing BS about that or using "haters" to describe many of his harshest critics. I'll concede that there are plenty of people who strongly disagree with him and his style who don't actually hate him but I didn't feel the need to state the obvious though. I didn't vote for him in 2016 but don't hate him and think he's done a reasonably good job considering the incredible amount of powerful forces in the mainstream media, Democratic party, liberals, and even parts of our intelligence community doing all they can to resist, obstruct, and destroy his presidency. Doesn't mean I agree with a lot of the things has done or the way he has done them. The point of this thread was to highlight how dishonest and hypocritical the liberal mainstream media has been in covering him and trying to paint him in the worst possible light.
Don't take this the wrong way, but why do so many people that oppose him refuse to read articles and consider evidence that might challenge the narrative that he is a Russian puppet or that point out the anti-Trump bias and hypocrisy of the mainstream media?
Take the Russian collusion story for example. There are a handful of threads posted each day from those that think the Russian collusion investigation was a severely flawed investigation and flimsy charge to begin with. Those threads usually have linked articles that contain very damning evidence that show serious perhaps criminal malfeasance and misconduct among upper level FBI, DOJ, and CIA officials involved in unethical and possibly criminal acts to spy on the Trump campaign. Yet so many people refuse to even consider the possibility that any of those accusations are true. You would think reasonably objective people would want to know why Mueller couldn't find evidence of Trump/Russia conspiracy if it was as obvious as many anti-Trumpers claims it is. Instead, many refuse to listen and would rather bury their head in the sand than consider that the entire case for Trump Russia conspiracy itself might have been a hoax all along.
I believed Trump colluded with Russia as well early on and just wanted the FBI/DOJ to simply provide the evidence to either impeach or not impeach the president so we could put the matter behind us and move on. I was fine either way but I wasn't going to buy the media or anti-Trump narrative that the evidence of said conspiracy was overwhelming until ACTUAL EVIDENCE was provided. When it became obvious that evidence didn't exist or conspiracy couldn't be proven I starting to dig deeper and study the other side's theory that the entire case was a sham and the investigation itself was corrupt. So far more evidence of the latter has been revealed and it's there for anyone willing to dig a little and be open minded about both side's theories.
Why can't those on the left or even the Never Trumpers on the right actually be open minded about both possibilities? Heck, why can't they be intellectually honest enough to study the Russian collusion hoax theories if nothing else to challenge and debunk them WITH ACTUAL EVIDENCE? Shouldn't be hard to disprove if the hoax theory is the wacky, crazy, and loony conspiracy theory anti-Trumpers claim it is. Yet, anti-Trumpers simply refuse to even engage in a debate.
