True except for AOC, I sourced all that just a few posts up just in case you missed it.

I mean "those guys" they're the enemy right?

I'm a never Trump independent, so lets at least try to have some honest discourse or you have no more credibility that the far right wingers here that I have on ignore.

Can I put a mod on ignore???? I will if you keep claiming you only hear about AOC from right wingers here.

P.S. I feel sorry for anyone if they're unable to put some of the resident RWNJ's on ignore. We have a few dozen that are bonkers.

I can't imagine that cancer is worried about the prospect of being wiped out by the likes of the Jihad Squad.

Me...I enjoy listening to these four just for their abject stupidity. I mean...every time they open their mouths, each plumbs even greater depths of theretofore-unknown dopiness. It's endlessly entertaining.

AOC and the squad are clearly emerging as a potent force in the US house. Just look at how Pelosi has repeatedly backed down from them, for example when there were calls for censure of Ilhan Omar following anti-Semitic tweets. Or Omar's push for BDS (boycott of Israel) shortly after Pelosi condemned BDS:

AOC also is looking at expanding the numbers of the squad in 2020. We had an AOC ally, and DSA member named Sarah Smith run for the house in my district in 2018. She got 32% of the vote in the general election as a first time candidate.

To ignore all of this would be an abdication of political responsibility for any concerned Democrat.

It is sad, in a funny way, how central being a victim is to the conservative mindset that the four most junior congressmen, the four most inexperienced fringe politicians in the national scene, are the focus of their fear.

A fear stimulated by their masters in the conservative media to control their thoughts and emotions.

typical CD failed attempt at mental telepathy. Post some quotes showing where conservatives have expressed 'fear' of AOC, and where they have been 'stimulated by their masters.'

I think it is actually Democrats who should be more concerned about AOC. AOC and Rashida Tlaib are both members of, and active in, 'Democratic Socialists of America.' According to this there are now 70 (!) DSA members of congress (both house and senate) who are members of DSA.

This is a rising tide, and is not some 'socialist light' Scandinavian version of socialism (the scandis are actually not socialist at all). The DSA advocates eventual full-blown socialism, with collective ownership of the means of production, and an eventual end to capitalism.

edit: the list linked above is obviously long-outdated. It does not even include AOC, but includes people like Barney Frank and John Conyers who are long gone from Congress. I'd love to find out if there is an updated version of the list somewhere.

Interesting that they list Bernie Sanders as a member. I have always wondered whether he was. I do know from a recent TNR article in DSA that AOC and Tlaib are both members. Don't know about Omar or Pressley.

Conservative media? Maybe for the squad but AOC is all over liberal and every other media. Heck I even just posted she made the Time 100 list (global list, yes...global) for 2019 despite being in office for basically a blink.

It is nothing short of fraudulent to claim that AOC is just a rightwing invention. I've sourced all of this.

It's fascinating at how this woman and her posse have completely stolen the Democrat platform.
Combined they are less than 1% of Congress.

Seems to me the only folk who are obsessed with her/ them are those who try to create a perception they represent the entire party, echoing Trump who is echoing Fox News. Lol.

Omar and Tlaib cannot be midwestern. You have to be American to be Midwestern. Even though they reside in Minnesota and Michigan they are still not midwestern because they don’t belong in our country to begin with. If they are midwestern then I am Santa Claus and I’m from the North Pole.

Send them back.....just like our president said.

If you are born and raised in the states deemed Midwestern states, then you are a Midwesterner by birth. Now, if it was like you spent first 20 years of your life in the Midwest but the rest in, say, the Pacific Northwest, one could make the argument you are now a Pacific Northwestern(er) person.
