I honestly believe this is why people love Trump so much. A large portion of this country is tired of political correctness and tired of a culture that says that the white straight Christian majority must be mindful and respectful of the feelings of minority groups. Trump represents an America that is baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet, that speaks English, that respects traditional gender roles, that says Merry Christmas, and that is One Nation Under God and if people don't like that, then they are free to leave. Trump says the kind of things publicly that conservatives have been thinking and saying in private for years.
This is why I believe that no amount of corruption or incompetence on the part of Trump even matters. It's all about the backlash against political correctness and as long as he continues to deliver on that, he will continue to remain popular.
This is also why other Republicans like Pence won't suffice and why impeachment will never happen. Other Republicans are more or less a part of the Washington establishment and while they may fight for many of the same policies that Trump supports, they won't say the things Trump says.
Question is, is standing up to a "liberal PC agenda" the most important quality in a POTUS and if so, why?
Protecting our borders is more important, but the DNC opposes that.
Whatever Trump does, the Left will do the polar opposite. They loved it when Obama was the "Deporter in Chief" and now they want to bring them all in. They cry over the cages they saw Illegal Aliens in under Trump, only to find many of the pictures were during Obama's Administration. They cry that Trump is a Racist from a misquote, but say Nothing when it's found that their best every pres is found Secretly meeting with the most Racist black man in the country. Them Dems have become insane
The president is a force of destruction and there is nothing more seductive than that force pointed at a system that people have a grievance against.
Of course, forces of destruction are hard to control and soon they start impacting things that people actually care about.
