Many of the snowflakes act like they think "evil" will rub off the guns.

The progg/socialists don't care about criminals. That is obvious. They want MY firearms and ALL peoples legal firearms. Common sense to them equates to heavily armed cops who can't use what they have worth a damn having all the weapons they want and citizens being dependent on them to defend them.

Makes sense I guess. If the end result is total government control.
Sure... that is your view.. and I'm sure the other side has theirs. I wasn't debating either way. As I said, the sides of the issue really lies with how much regulation is put into place and what that entails. However, broadly painting all liberals as "anti-gun" is as inaccurate as painting all conservatives as "gun fanatics".

Various sources indicate that 20-25% of liberals and slightly more registered democrats are gun owners. Slightly less than 49% of republicans are gun owners. A lot of it has to do with locale... as liberals/democrat strongholds generally have stricter laws on gun ownership. It doesn't mean that the liberal/democrat side is anti-gun just because ownership is lower no more than Republicans are anti-gun because the other 50% doesn't own a firearm.

The whole "anti-gun" label is just a drama queenish rant that really has little meaning other than to preach to those that are uninformed.

I reside in NJ now.... content for what this state has to offer to me and my family (married a Jersey Girl.. lol). However, i have a whole collection that I had to leave behind in my father's safe (in TX). I also obtained a concealed weapon license shortly after graduation (mid 90s). The one thing that I do not like in NJ is the strict handgun laws... way too strict to the point that only LEO or former LEO can obtain them. But it is still my choice to remain here... good with the bad. However, hunting is still very much an enjoyed pass time up here... even among what many of you all would label as "liberals". Coincidentally, I live in a conservative/republican stronghold in the middle of blue state... most of them don't really make much of an issue over gun control (more vs less) either.

Vermont has for many years listed as one of the states with the laxest gun laws... it is a blue state since 1992. I've heard (don't know details) that this is changing but for a long time this is a blue state with lax gun laws. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Vermont. I've used visited there quite often and I think you'll find most Vermonters would take offense to being referred to as snowflakes or anti-gun.

Actually a good question... lol.... I don't care either way and I don't see the significance of female gun ownership. Just another useless stat to rally around.

It means that women can protect themselves. Some people seem to not like that.

Let the anti-gun crowd let that sink in!!

1 in 5!!!!!!!!

And that number is growing thanks to thewellarmedwoman.com and other woman friendly gun groups

This will drive the libs crazy!!!!
Depends on the area in question. I'll bet there are some parts of the country where it's the other way around, as in 1 in 5 women don't own a gun. I've been to some of those such places too. In San Francisco I'd be willing to bet that 1 out of 1000 women own a gun.

I would agree that in the more "progressive" metro areas, gun ownership in general is less. However, I live just outside a large, progressive city, in a solidly "Blue" suburb, and my gun club nearby has seen a huge increase in women shooters over the past five years or so. Most are from the immediate area.

Probably because they LOVE their wives, mothers, sisters, nieces, grandmothers and friends.
Probably because they take great pleasure in knowing that women are taking responsibility for their safety which means less women are robbed, raped, maimed, and/or murdered.

Why do you NOT care?
