So it would be accurate to state that a minority of the City is white....and, yes, lots of Hispanics are under the white category but they tend not to vote KKK........

Most places want those conventions due the the whoring and drinking and hotel and other revenues.....it's a real party. No one is going to diss Charlotte in the future due to having hosted the GOP....

That said, Charlotte ain't my cup of tea...but political conventions are not usually tied in with family trips to Disney World of the beach anyway.

The basic idea is to swing a swing state by having it in one....

Charlotte is a fast growing city, I lived there from 1997 until 2018.

The demographics definitely could have changed in 2010- today.

You also have to factor in Charlotte's suburbs that stretch far beyond the actual city limits and most of them are predominantly Caucasian.

(Discounting Charlotte's relatively large population of illegals of course)

Libs, of course, are violent fascists. When was the last time republicans harassed and threatened violence against a democrat political gathering?

You are on the wrong side of history. Violence and intimidation is never used by people who value liberty.
Yeah, libs are violent. LOL.

oh and of course we all know it must be very factual if it appeared in the HP? Have it dawned on you, many stories are very one sided, based on an opinion of a few or taken out of context.

Wonder what the plan is when Republicans start chanting "Send her back" as they did at the rally on the East Carolina University campus in Greenville, North Carolina.

Yeah, the good ole Chicago political machine and police force in action crushing protest and dissent with impunity without repercussion.

Reminds me of Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago police force trying to cover up police murders with payoffs.

Same ole, same ole....

That huffington post article is nonsense. Fodder for the weak minded. Huge amount of money coming to the city due to the event. Businesses are very very happy. Braxton Winston, doesn't speak for the city. He speaks from the district he's elected from which IS black and poor. The very people who will benefit from this event. Keep in mind that he voted against it in the first place. i.e. Sour Grapes.

And hahahahahahahaha. The city and more importantly county & metro are not "predominately latin and black".

Difference is how Hispanics were classified. The post mentioning 50.02% white was including Hispanics, 2010 #'s mentioned above were of Non-Hispanic White. In 2018 Charlotte was 42.2% Non-Hispanic White

With that said, while there are some that are looking to reconsider, it doesn't appear that they have enough support to overturn it.
