Your link shows that this is a continuation of what was going on before Trump took office.

I don't see any support for this being due to tariffs or what "some" effect might mean.

I truly don't understand how farmers can think he is trying to help them. They are voting against their own best interests with him.
That’s typically the case whatever aid the government sends doesn’t go to who it should.

Huh? It was apportioned based upon production.

How exactly should the subsidy be applied? Just randomly or do you have something else in mind?

American farmer: Trump 'took away all of our markets'

They weren't your markets; and no one "took them away"; you lost them by refusing to adapt to a changing economy.

You mean refusing to adapt to a failed Trump policy. Try to keep up. They HAD the markets before this idiot gave them away in an ill-conceived tariff scheme.

The bulk of the farms are large so probably the bulk of the money goes to them

Brilliant-

That would result in doubling of your food prices and elimination of food stamps (the programs are tied).

Next "solution" please!

I love how it's called "aid" when it's going to farmers but "welfare" or "handouts" when it's going to urban areas.

Farmers can pretend they're different than the disability drawing welfare recipient in Kentucky or the single mother in urban Memphis but they're not.

More of that wealth redistribution conservatives are always railing against.

The government in pouring in billions of dollars in bailouts to keep them in business. We are looking at over $30 billion so far, and who knows how much more unannounced.
