Allies for what? Why do you need allies? I fully believe blacks can change their own situations by themselves. It starts with better personal decision making.

13% of the population, 51% of the violent crime.

That's not institutional racism, that's making bad decisions.

Exactly! It's called personal responsibility which a large segment regardless of race has decided does not apply to them. Everyone else is at fault but it's never themselves to blame! One excuse after another. 100 years from now there will still be excuses.

Three strikes, you're out putting more black men in prison. It's all policy.
Ding ding ding....we have a winner.

The inflection point where the direction of the socioeconomic and cultural curves changed was in the mid 1960s...when the US government went on a decade long bender of "helping" black people, instituting policy after policy that persist to this day. LBJ's various "Wars on XYZ" and Nixon's Affirmative Action policies....the pox upon the black American house. All designed for one thing and one thing only - to create a loyal collective that is totally dependent on government and can be counted on to deliver votes. And to at least the democrats' credit, it has worked swimmingly well, at least for the political class, not so much for actual black people.

Old white men posing as the black man's friend...comin' 'round to help. Let's ask el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz for more on this:

Then the Negro sides with the white liberal, and the white liberal use the Negro against the white conservative. So that anything that the Negro does is never for his own good, never for his own advancement, never for his own progress, he’s only a pawn in the hands of the white liberal.

The worst enemy that the Negro have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love Negros and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Negros have. If the Negro wasn't taken, tricked or deceived by the white liberal, then Negros would get together and solve our own problems. I only cite these things to show you that in America, the history of the white liberal has been nothing but a series of trickery designed to make Negros think that the white liberal was going to solve our problems. Our problems will never be solved by the white man.

The only way that our problem will be solved is when the black man wakes up, clean himself up, stand on his own feet and stop begging the white man, and take immediate steps to do for ourselves the things that we have been waiting on the white man to do for us. Once we do for self then we will be able to solve our own problems
White liberals...the plague set loose upon the nation called Black America.

The "black community" is poor because the State has regulated and micro-managed all aspects of life inside those areas to the point that you either have to be a criminal (either a legal criminal or illegal criminal if you've come this far) serving at the State's feet or completely disavow the State to generate any capital for yourself.

I chose the later and it's been all copacetic since...

Yes this is true, however are you arguing that there was less racism in the 1950's, 1960's then there is today? I somehow don't think you are yet in those days black marriage rates were 70% and today are much lower in a time of much less racism, which logically means marriage rates have little or nothing to do with racism. The fact is Government policy for a war on poverty had unexpected and terrible consequences, its just human nature to try to make life easier, regardless of race. On it's surface not marrying meant more aid and an easier life. But in reality it just did the exact opposite. We as a society have to come up with a plan where we reward people who marry and raise kids together. It may leave a bad taste in some peoples mouth but it may cost us more money in the short term to save money for our future as a Nation. Just give them nothing and cut them off cold turkey will never happen, that is also a reality which is why we must find another solution.

Two main reasons:

1) A teen girl who gets pregnant brings shame to her family, or at least a modicum of embarrassment.
2) A major emphasis is placed on education and studying, which comes before play, after-school activities (unless they're academic in nature), "hanging out," and so forth.

This prompted me to break out the sage Mr. Douglass, since his words were for a specific demographic, but in the truest libertarian/anarchist sense, fit for any individual seeking to retain individual rights and sovereignty:

Our answer is, do nothing with them; mind your business, and let them mind theirs. Your doing with them is their greatest misfortune. They have been undone by your doings, and all they now ask, and really have need of at your hands, is just to let them alone. They suffer by every interference, and succeed best by being let alone.
...
let alone by courts, judges, politicians, legislators and slavedrivers—let alone altogether
...
Let us stand upon our own legs, work with our own hands, and eat bread in the sweat of our own brows. When you, our white fellowcountrymen, have attempted to do anything for us, it has generally been to deprive us of some right, power or privilege which you yourself would die before you would submit to have taken from you.
...
Don't meddle with him, nor trouble yourselves with any questions as to what shall be done with him.

The great majority of human duties are of this negative character. If men were born in need of crutches, instead of having legs, the fact would be otherwise. We should then be in need of help, and would require outside aid; but according to the wiser and better arrangement of nature, our duty is done better by not hindering than by helping our fellowmen; or, in other words, the best way to help them is just to let them help themselves.
Leave...me...alone. Works for any individual and is the natural state of man.

We're people just like anyone else. So don't think you're complimenting us. More like patting us on the head in a patronizing way.

Your pop culture remarks ignore the fact that Asian American comprise many different ethnicies, cultures and communities of varying generations. A 4th generation Japanese American is going to have a very different experience than a Laotian refugee family.

While you crow that Asians have higher median salaries than whites - remember, if this is a national sample, most of us are concentrated in states like CA, NY, HI which have high COLs - so those high salaries don't go as far.

Moreover, Asian Americans as a group also have a high poverty rate than average. Highest poverty rate of immigrants in NYC, for example.

https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2018...-among-asians/

So it's not a complete picture, and you do a disservice to the public with simplistic declarations such as yours.

https://thepractice.law.harvard.edu/...minority-myth/

Yes, you can find isolated examples of West African Malian tribes that may make more money when they immigrate, or poorer Laotian communities, but as a whole, a trend, Asians as a minority have far surpassed blacks in economic attainment, literally decades of data.

It's because of the following:

1. Commitment to education.
2. Commitment to career progression.
4. Commitment to family.
3. Work ethic.

When I joined Tech Coast Angels as an investor back in 2014, the number of black investors in the group was minuscule, single digits out of a group that numbered probably 500 at the time. It's probably still like that. Asians? Probably 30% of the group. We're talking 170 millionaires out of a group of 500.

and while divorce rates for ALL races have been rising the past few decades, the rates for blacks far outpace the rates for any other race.

Stop making excuses. That's the first step to reversing these trends.
