Trump's name is Don the Con, not the dealmaker. Too bad American voters fell for his scam but dictators and murderers know his game.
Iran has won out? Really?

Default What a coincidence that there was a "Taliban attack" days after Trump said we will pull our troops out of Afghanistan

Almost as coincidental as how the two or three "Syrian gas attacks on civilians" each happened days after Trump announced that we would be pulling out of Syria.

There have been Taliban attacks the last several weeks, I agree with Trump cancelling the meeting at Camp David with the Afghanistan government and the Taliban. If the Taliban want to bargain let them demonstrate that they can be trusted.

And how naive is this administration. They truly thought they were singing a deal with the Taliban -- that much be why they invited them to Camp David.

Some weird and sick way to celebrate 9/11.......

Default How Trump upended US-Taliban peace talks.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — With a series of tweets, President Donald Trump has upended nearly a year of U.S.-Taliban negotiations on ending America's longest war.

He has "called off" the talks and asserted that a planned secret meeting between him and Taliban leaders at Camp David, set for Sunday just days before the 9/11 anniversary, is now canceled. Some question whether it was a face-saving attempt after the deal his envoy said had been reached "in principle" faced serious challenges.

The Taliban took half a day to respond, saying the abrupt decision hurt U.S. credibility after they had "finalized" a deal, but said the U.S. likely would return to negotiations. The two sides had still been talking on Saturday, they said — two days after Trump said he had "immediately" called off talks.

Guess Trump THINKS he can get a better deal.

Clandestine talks with the Taliban? I'm sure that terrorist organization was laughing all the way to the next car bomb did this trump thing learn nothing from Obamas withdrawl from Iraq where ISIS quickly filled the void, now trump wants to leave Afghanistan? what does he think will happen if that occurs? Afghanistan left in the hands of Islamic fundamentalists will not be good for America.

No but just leaving the place in the hands of Islamic fundamentalists is not the answer as they will become much stronger and its only a matter of time before they focus their terrorism on the USA,As some one said we can fight them over there or we can fight them here.

And just WHAT is it that makes you think negotiating with Islamic fundamentalist terrorists would be good for America? Time to end this long, bloody, costly war that's accomplished very little.
