Trump's name is Don the Con, not the dealmaker. Too bad American voters fell for his scam but dictators and murderers know his game.
Since we are here:
Bill, gave Bin Laden a pass
Hillary, caused Benghazi
Obama, created, funded & supplied ISIS

Strange that Trump used the attack a few days ago as a reason to call this off, the Taliban has been blowing up innocent people for weeks. They just blew up a wedding ceremony including children a few weeks ago so this is not some rare occurrence.

Trump is no Jimmy Carter.

Trump thought inviting the taliban to camp David was a good idea. Trump is suffering from TDS.

I didn't realize how much the troops in Afghanistan have increased over the last two years. It's almost doubled since 2016.

My fault for not paying attention but I was assuming a decreasing in troops was ongoing.

Are we stuck there.

Do we just rip the band aid off?

Yes, we would be hard pressed to find anyone other than Trump that would think the Taliban at Camp David -- even with the hope of a peace treaty -- is a good idea.

It is clear, Trump is naive and his administration isn't doing much to help him navigate all this international foreign diplomacy stuff.

Trump gave way too much to Kim Jung Un before securing anything significant for the USA. Trump has given Kim Jung Un the photo ops -- the world stage......and has not gotten much in return. Oh Trump has gotten nice letters and he thinks he has a new friend.

Same with the Taliban. This recent attack wasn't 'unusual' or a surprise. This has been going on for some time. Yet all of a sudden the USA decides it just can't be tolerated.

I don't know.

Do they really think that foreign govts. are lining up to make 'deals' and that it is that easy.

And herein lies the heart of the matter for me - with international diplomacy.

Other administrations -- Republican and Democrat have worked on relations with all the countries Trump thinks he is the first to try and work a dal. Difference. IT was done conservatively, cautiously, carefully, thoughtfully. There weren't grand gestures at just the mere thought that there might be an agreement. Doesn't mean there weren't behind the scenes talking, negotiating. And the administrations didn't bombard the press because there was no real results.

Trump gets a call from a new 'friend' and the next thing you know he calls for a Nobel Peace Prize at a rally.

The great deal maker has yet to close on any deal -- even with allies. Yes there are agreements to hold talks, agreements to agree, agreements to conditions of trade agreements. But nothing is closed/ratified.

They did add additional troops in 2017. Now with the talks with the Taliban "dead" after an 82nd soldier was killed in a suicide bomber. I know it's bad over there right now....I just hope and pray things don't get worse.
