I hope this doesn't mean I'll stop funding the evisceration of children via drone strike.

Blowing up 8-year-olds, locking up grandmas for feeding cats, raiding farmers with SWAT teams who sell fresh milk...it's the reason I get up every morning and go to work.

So 7-8k troops will remain in harms way and at great expense in a country they have no business being in at all.
Another load of BS and spin. God you people are so gullible.

The headline should read "Trump to continue keeping thousands of troops in Afghanistan, same as his war criminal predecessors"

At least some troops are coming home.

However, ALL of them need to come home.

No more wasting billions upon billions of dollars of taxpayer money for this nonsense.

I didn't even read it. Good catch.

Looks like it's a lock that I'll be funding another baby killing in the near future. My motivation to earn some money tomorrow just returned.

Thanks!

July 3rd, 1979: Carter signs the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul.

That's 6-months before the Soviets invaded.

We owe it to the taxpayers who have been funding this thing for 40 years to see it through. At the very least they should get a free blender from Uncle Sam.

Then again, a government blender is bound to not work and will cost a fortune.

I say pull all of the troops out and let the people who live there sort it out. We have zero reasons to be there.

We need to get out. The only reason we are in Afghanistan now is because the US (read as W and Cheney) fumbled the whole thing and went after shiny things in Iraq and totally screwed that up as well with lies and incompetence. Trump negotiating with the Taliban is as crazy as his love letters from Kim Jong-Un. That has gone so well.
