Enough with practically non-stop military excursions across the global.

We need to be nationalists and concern ourselves with our business, unlike internationalists who want to stick our noses and bombs in other countries' business.

We should have left as soon it had been ascertained that Osama bin Laden had escaped.

But since Trump is pulling money out of military O&M funding for Afghanistan for his wall, there's nothing left but to make an "arrangement" with the Taliban.

Our arrangement should be "bye-bye" as we get the hell out.

The common whiners theme for staying is "if we leave it will all have been for nothing". These people have never stopped fighting whatever pack of morons that comes down the pike. The only ones that came close were Batu Khan and his horde. They tried to kill everyone and finally after almost 2 generations the guy who governed the place became a Muslim along with everyone else.

Fighting is what those people DO. They have generations which have never known anything else. They'll be fighting 1000 years from now if they have to. All they have to do is say "we won't" one more time than some pack of a holes say "you will".

It's pretty simple if you ask me.

Why aren't we leaving? Seriously? It cannot just be the military complex I keep hearing, there is no excuse anymore. Get our people out and bring home our equipment. It just seems like we've spent too much money there that could have been used for our own country.

Afganistan if the US troops leave, will be broken up to different states, just like Ukraine and Bosnia.

Eighteen damn years, leave now, leave totally.

The US has had 18 years to finish this, if it has not been done by now, it never will be.

Screw the whole damn place, should have left there 15 years ago.

Sounds great to me, the whole concept of a Kabul government controlling different tribes as some liberal cosmopolitan state was beyond stupid.

The Taliban learned something from the VC. You don't have to win the battles to win the war. You have only to hang tough for a while and Americans will lose interest. You take away the political will, the belief that the war is just.

Most of us see the Taliban for what it is, but we don't see why we should be the ones to fix that problem.

We have forgotten lessons learned. You can't go in and bomb people, kill grand pa and all his goats, and then expect the survivors to like you. They will never like you as long as you stay.

You have a choice. Go in and annihilate your enemy and then leave, or just dont bother with it.
