What a train wreck this logo is. Who thought this was a good design, and who approved it?

The response on Twitter has been classic. Funny stuff.

More progressive nitpicking. Nothing more.

That crown is the City of Charlotte’s official logo.

Imagine that.

Charlotte is known as "The Queen City". Hence the crown. I don't see the big problem.

The blue in the logo is the Charlotte (Queen City) logo.

True but someone did a terrible job. NOT too late to do a quick fix. Cmon ya gotta admit it IS kind of funny.

Fix it and be done with it.

Grow the crown and then lighten the blue to more transparent and done.

I honestly do not see the problem. GOP logo on top of City of Charlotte logo with the year added.

*shrug*

An unfortunate coincidence, a perfect storm of meaning, a good excuse to subliminally suggest a long term change of ideals.

The Republican party has all but abandoned the concept of a republic, and they picked a city with a crown in it's logo. Seems to be something Freudian about that, if not deliberate.

Of course, I am sure Dear leader is pleased, he may have been personally involved in the design!

All they need to do now is rename the party as the National Authoritarian party, and push for a constitutional convention.

Why? I didn't design it. And Erick Erickson, whose tweet I posted, is a Trump supporter, and he was one of the first to come out and criticize this logo.

You've got to admit it's a silly logo. Trump supporters have no sense of humor.
