In order to understand this, one has to understand why those cities have been Democratic strongholds. Chicago and Baltimore are industrial port cities. These cities are home to the working class, union-style Democrats. Labor Democrats. And then you also have to think about this, Large numbers of racial minorities live in Baltimore and Chicago. Chicago is about 30% Black and 28% Hispanic. Baltimore is 64% Black. This is a major reason Democrats have run those cities.

Something else. Northern cities like Chicago don't have the same political dynamics that the southern states have. The southern states were solid Democratic states up until the late 1960s. The Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act played a major role. This is what got more Blacks to vote Democrat. And in the South, this started a process of the South turning Republican.

And then places outside of the South that are solidly Republican, another different dynamic. Places like Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakota, where ranching and mining are major parts of the economy, Republicans are seen as the party who will protect it. And in those states, there is a sense of ruggedness, an attitude of "we'll take care of ourselves".

With Chicago and Baltimore, those dynamics aren't there. If those cities were ran by Republicans, I don't know if they would get better. Tulsa is a Republican city and it's had issues with gangs. North Tulsa is a ghetto. North Tulsa is part of a Congressional district that is ran by Republicans. It's in a city ran by Republicans. And yet, it's very poor and very violent. Tulsa has been seeing a surge in gang violence.

You DO know the clinton's CHARGE the Secret Service to provide security at THEIR house in NY, right.

What do you think it cost for the SS to proved obama and is family security in Hawaii all the times they went there. Sometime the family flew in SEPARATE planes.

Don't forget MANY SS people had to go WEEKS beforehand to "scope it out", and I'd bet they didn't stay at the Motel 6.

Do you think ALL the places the obama family went weren't paid?

And we NEVER heard a word of complaint from the left. So why NOW? Never mind we know the answer.

If that is how you feel, don't complain about affirmative action.
