Except not everyone who doesn't like Trump or doesn't support a specific policy or action of his is a Democrat.

Everything isn't 'Us vs. Them'.

I think you really would be much happier if you could manage to get out of Oklahoma.

Very good point... if it was such a disgrace, he should move to close it and move to Oklahoma or something.. heck same with his numerous properties in NJ and NY where he doesn't garnish much support.

I'm not a Democrat and voted Republicans into office in years past....

Heck, I am not even a big fan of CA. But I understand their significance to this country and I don't consider them the "other side" but rather a state among states that should ban together... I believe the president should be a participant in that.

We can't afford / shouldn't alienate the #1 state economy by GDP (California by a large margin). The same could also be said of #2 (Texas).

I agree that it used to be better.....after the air got better, but before it got as populated as it is now, and when the politics were more balanced. I say all of that as someone who is neither a D nor an R, but who is a fifth generation native Californian who spent about a half a century there.

No, not many, just a few. The many, instead, are moving to Texas, secondly to Colorado.

More of the few are welcomed to move to Stillwater, OK to get the town's 2020 census to the magic 50,000 mark in order to qualify as metro status and the goodies that supposedly come with it from the government and private sector.

A golf club that's not as popular as it was. In what must be the most Californian statistic ever, the number of filming permits have dropped from 12-16/year to just 2.

I never said sanctuary cities made things any better. I don't think sanctuary cities are a good idea. I was trying to get you to look at something. How well did the Republican Party serve South Central Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, southeast San Francisco, Oakland, or Compton during the 1970s and 1980s? Most of the people getting killed or living in horrible places weren't illegal immigrants. They were American-born.

And I brought up Alabama. It has a high murder rate. Birmingham has a murder rate of 52 murders per 100,000 in 2018. This is worse than any city in California, except for maybe Compton. Birmingham doesn't attract many immigrants at all. If there are any illegals in Birmingham, they are very few. Most of the killing and most of the blight takes place in areas with American-born people. Same goes with the high poverty rates in Alabama.

I mentioned all of this because while California has problems, alot of problems, blaming them on one particular political party is ignorant. Consider this. Utah and Alabama are both ran by Republicans. People want to move to Utah, both American born and immigrants. Alabama is one of the poorest states in the USA. It has a high violent crime rate. Two states ran by Republicans, different results.
