I live in Georgia. Alabama is next door. Huntsville is okay, but much of Alabama has alot of problems.

Birmingham isn't a nice place to live.

Birmingham's population is listed as 212,265. It has dropped to 209,880 as of 2018. Birmingham has been bleeding population each decade since the 1960s. Birmingham had 340,887 in 1960. In 2018, its population was 209,880. The city had 110 murders in 2018. Birmingham's murder rate is around 52 murders per 100,000. Birmingham is slightly worse than Baltimore, which had a murder rate of 50.5 murders per 100,000. Birmingham has a poverty rate around 28%.

I bring these statistics up without any intention to talk badly about Alabama as a whole. I'm saying that Alabama has plenty of problems. If Alabama being Republican is suppose to be the solution to the problem, I'm not seeing it.

I feel the same way being a Black man. I don't find myself fitting in anywhere either. I don't fit in totally with Democrats or Republicans. I my views depend on the issue. Then again, I've had trouble fitting in much of my life.

Like you, I don't think things are going to get any better in 2020.

If making America "great again" means openly and purposely making enemies out of people, then Trump is doing a good job. He's doing a good job making more enemies than he already has. I can't think of any other President who would do this. He governs us all, but I think there are some people he wish he didn't have to govern.

I think the next place he might insult is New Mexico.

I disagree. I think Trump insulting the state of California is a sign that he only cares about those who voted for him.

And the way the current loony liberal governor of CA makes me feel is like one of those long time cable customers where we only get f'd with higher rates for being 'loyal', while all of the discounts only go to new 'customers' (aka illegals).

Calif. is totally run by Democrats, state, counties, and cities. All the cities politicians have totally bought into the homeless are victims of circumstance. They refuse to see the drug addicts alcoholics, and lazy people who don't want any obligation at all.
So they're compassionate help only enables and attracts more and more homeless.

Look, many of us don't agree with California's governor. That is still no excuse for what President Trump said. It is possible to disagree with the Governor of California's policies and disagree with President Trump behaving like a teenage bully.

You can bring up California's governor and his police. However, can you refute anything I've said regarding President Trump?
