That's rich. You defend the President when he does it (saying you care about policies, not personality), but then whine/complain if people reciprocate that behavior back at the President.

There is no civil debate anymore on the part of liberals.
Expecting continuous adult behavior from this President, and disagreeing with you, doesn't make someone a liberal.

It's shameful!
No, what's shameful is your not expecting better behavior from your President.

So what?

Again, sane people expect better than little kid/'but Johnny's doing it' logic when it concerns the POTUS.

Quote:
What did you expect when Beto called Trump a racist right on national TV???
Presidential behavior/for Trump to ignore him/for Trump to not 'punch down'.

Quote:
What part of that don't you and yours get?
Who are "you and yours" ?

Liberals ?

Again, expecting continuous adult behavior from this President doesn't make someone a liberal.

If you're so upset about Trump's name calling then why do you do it to? Why not act like an adult instead?
^^^^^ That's a false equivalency.

No one on this board is the POTUS.

Trump is the POTUS.

Sane people expect better behavior from the POTUS than they do from 'Joe Sixpack face in the crowd'.

Once again, Trump doesn't initiate childish behavior he merely retaliates against those who act that way by hurling insults at him first. Are you guys really this clueless?

No, I'm not a hypocrite. I rarely resort to name calling but I have at times retaliated just as Trump has when I get attacked first. How is that being hypocritical? It's only hypocritical if you are the one initiating the attack. Amazing how this has to be explained to you and yours.

See, that is what I find extremely hard to understand too. I have friends and ex relatives who are super nice, super smart people. They LIKE Trump ! How can they not see the way he demeans everyone, especially women, how he acts like a spoiled 3 year old, instead of a man who should be leading this country, and how he has decades long history of cheating and lying to get ahead ? He is also completely unqualified to do the work that office requires........both intellectually and ethically.

I really, really can not understand how they not only overlook those character flaws, but they DEFEND them ! I just really do not get it. They JUST DON'T CARE !!

But, then again, we have all heard how some people actually wrote letters to people like Charles Manson, and who think he was a great guy.

I have a good friend who likes to say the same thing. "What matters is not what Trump says or how he says it. What matters is what Trump does."

Funny this, because it suggests what Trump does is any better, but I also think this is part of how Trump supporters deal with the obvious conflict born of supporting someone who is obnoxious, rude and for the most part an embarrassing human being. I don't know about everyone else, but I put a lot of weight on what a person says and how they say it. If they don't seem intelligent, honest, ethical and moral when they speak, the odds are very good they are none of those things, and that's a serious problem no matter how deep one wants to bury their head in the sand.

Californians are the true disgrace because they allowed all this to happen. When you don't vote, liberals win. When you vote for moderate candidates, liberals win. When you vote for fiscal conservative liberal Republicans, liberals win. It's really that damn simple.

At least you admit that he is retaliating, and that his behavior is childish. That you don't see anything wrong with that is what is disturbing.

Comparing the behavior of anyone else to Trump's behavior is a false equivalency.

Not one of 'those who act that way' is the POTUS.

Trump is the POTUS.

Sane people expect him to act Presidential/let it roll off of his back/refrain from 'punching down', and refrain from childish behavior.

Straight from the 'Oldglory school of definitions and logic' .

You are literally the only person to assert that who I have ever heard of.

You won't find the bolded in any academic explanation, nor dictionary.
