Who would you rather have as our president, someone you'd like to have lunch with but gets almost nothing done or someone who gets results on their promises but is an a-hole?

In this scenario, you can't have both. I personally think democrats care more about likability, saying the right things is more important than actual policies, where as republicans don't care about PC as much as getting results.

I'd like both, but right now we have neither.

This is a hypothetical question, of course we want both, but if push comes to shove, what's more important to you.

silly question, any sane, logical person should be voting for results regardless of affiliation.. I doubt many Dems on here will vote for what they actively rage about on this forum daily...their hate for Trump and how much they dislike him.

Democrats seem to care more about who is the most pc rather than the issues. Just watch their speeches and debates. It’s the reason no democrats voted in this poll. They know they care mostly about likability, but also know that makes them look stupid, so better not respond.

I didn’t vote, because I don’t belong to either party, and vote for the best person regardless of affiliation.

As for the question, results are of course more important, but likability is important to get elected, and candidates have no presidential “results” unless they are an incumbent. The 2020 election will let us all know what people think of the current incumbent’s results. I don’t think he can be re-elected on likability.

Trump actually is likable, far more so than Hillary, which is the main reason he won.

Perhaps... but likability with horrible results is no good for this nation. As bmw335xi said, of course we want both.

Congratulations, you've won my "deck chair on the Titanic rearrangement award". We are dealing with a brain-dead deplorable in chief.

I guess I can laugh at the irrelevant absurdity of your thread.
