No it is a political problem since assault weapons are too easily accessible and politicians are too much pressure by groups such as the NRA. They either fear losing the vote or losing the money for standing up to them. The second amendment doesn't mean we should have weapons of war, it just doesn't. The second amendment is a tactic and needs amending.
What is this "assault weapon" you mention? Sounds rather melodramatic.
No it's not weak sauce. His hateful rhetoric is having consequences no matter how much his supporters want to deny it. He's abominable.
The way I see it the left is dividing the country. Should the president cool it on Twitter, yes, but the vileness from the left and the identity politics are ruining this country. No one group puts more focus on the race of people than the left, the true racists.
If all law-abiding citizens were allowed to carry a concealed weapon, and everybody knew they could, would someone planning to shoot up a Walmart be just as likely to go ahead anyway?
Most people still wouldn’t bother carrying, but a few would. And the shooter would’t know which ones in the crowd, they were.
Some of the shooters would likely change their minds and not do it in the first place.
And how many lives would be saved as a result, without a shot being fired?
Yup, and the government, the media and law enforcement refuse to call domestic mass shootings like this "terrorism." They only use the terror word if the shooter is a foreigner or is a Muslim. They never call a right wing terrorist a terrorist.
They called the 95 OKC bombing terrorism.
However, what did they call the Ft. Hood shooting, workplace violence?
At that, there is no actual charge of "domestic terrorism" that can be given, and the current legal charge of terrorism requires a foreign entity.
