Well then it is very lucky for him that there is no significance to the fact that it was once part of Mexico.
It is not part of Mexico now. Hasn’t been for 180 years and the fact that it once was, has no relevance to anything.
What an odd statement.
When you absolutely, positively have run out of criticism for Trump, you just improvise.
and if he doesn't go they will also be calling him a Racist.
Accurate. His going or not going at this point has no bearing on his racism which has been on display for decades, including since 1/20/17.
It's an impossible situation for him, but it's one he created, don't blame people that observe and comment on HIS actions.
If he cared, he would have been more careful with his words. Had he been less of a cheerleader of the racist behavior, he would have been welcomed in El Paso.
he needs to understand that the rest of the world is not the same as his base. He can't just show up and have normal people forget and forgive. He has a history, and it's attached to him.
It would be wrong for him to go and act like he cares now. The only consistency he can boast is that he does whatever he needs to in order to get votes. He spews hate to energize his base. And then he wants to go act like he's fixing the problem that he contributed (I didn't say "caused") by attending.
Sure Trump cares! He spent the weekend playing with his balls in Bedminster rather than shorten his weekend and go to El Paso for a major tragedy. Better to visit El Paso and Dayton during the week, which means less time doing any work in Washington, but whatever he does, he doesn't want anything to ruin next weekend's golf outing. Now that's important!!!

Can't have it both ways.
If Trump loses his racist base, he's toast and he knows it.
Shooters dad was a mental health counselor....so not only did the "mental health monitoring" angle fail, but as we know the "everyone in Texas carrying" also failed.
Dad was apparently involved in one mental hospital (some say part owners - and by his big house, I don't doubt it) which was shut down by the state earlier this year.
Parents got divorced and one of them had to "return a green card".....hmmm.....
"Father of Suspect Patrick Crusius Wrote About 40-Year Addiction Battle, Claimed He Spoke to Jesus in Memoir"
Texas to the core.......
Now, where did a 40 year addict get the bucks for that mansion???
Only in the USA can a guy who writes a book about being a loser for his entire life then make bucks from treating others...because he saw Jesus.
Now we have to await someone writing a book about this whole deal...but it's not hard to see that this Father...was not a father...by his own admission!
""I lived a life of pretense in a kind of dream, alternating between the lows of apathy and hopelessness and the highs of material success. I have quit and relapsed countless times," Crasius wrote in the book.
He claimed his drug use and drinking led to Lori kicking him out of the house when Patrick was 12 years old."
Ah, the "highs of material success".....the admission of being a complete Loser for his entire Family life AND then more bucks from trading on his visits with Jesus. One must admit this is a very "Texan" type of story.....
One must admit this is a very "bigoted" type of post.....
I think talking about mental health issues with the shooter in El Paso is dismissing the white supremacy.
Dayton we still don't know what the motive was.
El Paso shooter is a terrorist. We can claim all terrorist have mental health issues but first and foremost he was a terrorist and should be treated as such.
But in any other case, you liberals want to excuse any kind of evil as "having mental health issues". So you can't have it both ways.
