Of course it does. Not everyone reacts to hate speech the same way, but some will react with hate and violence.

Incredibly there was another mass shooting in Ohio last night, which makes it 22 mass shootings this year.

In the past the mass shooters have been disturbed individuals, but now more and more of them have a right-wing political agenda which is in line with Trump's agenda.

Universal health care and UBI aren't right-wing agenda. The El Paso shooter's manifesto complained that the influx of millions of dependent migrants will make it harder to achieve ambitious social projects like universal health care and UBI.

Now... ask yourself... WHO'S advocating for and campaigning on universal health care and UBI? Trump? No. It's the Dems.

Yes, nothing like this happens in the absence of mental illness, which now seems epidemic. And Beto's rhetoric (and that from those similarly misguided) is kerosene on the flames of a sick mind.

The USA once was a place where citizens joined together to work toward solutions to the many challenges and problems associated with human life on this planet. It is disheartening and shameful to hear and watch Americans consciously decide to choose hate and fear and division and unabashedly walk behind a man who seeks to stoke those emotions and sentiments as opposed to doing the work necessary to keep we the people united. A leader, worthy of this nation, would not barrage us with grievances and obstacles. He would not pit Americans against Americans. He would not seek to isolate us from fellow humans and other cultures and nations with his anger and greed and bigotry.

Peace!
How is it stoking hate to accurately point out that we cannot import millions and millions of people who will be dependent on the government, eventually turning those who support the federal government into the minority?

I also won't malign you, as you so kindly did not malign me, but I see leftists and Democratic candidates stoking the division. Hillary kicked it all off by saying that half of all Trump voters are deplorable, and even since then, leftists have jumped on the bandwagon with their hate-filled accusations of racist! Nazi! Moron from flyover country! etc. They shut down any real discussion of how to solve problems by labeling those who disagree with them as either idiots or bigots.

We need to go back to the immigration laws of the early 20th century, where you were admitted only if you could show you were self-supporting or were going to a family member who was self-supporting (the exception being if you were truly eligible for asylum, and being poor doesn't qualify).

Muslim Americans have been asked for 18 years to denounce violent Muslim extremism done by terrorists they have never met. Their loyalty and patriotism is interrogated, questioned & treated as suspect. So, what do we say to those who enable and promote a white nationalist ideology?

Read the manifesto. The shooter quite clearly complains that the influx of millions of dependent migrants will make it harder to achieve ambitious social projects like universal health care and UBI. Neither of those are Trump's agenda or the right-wing's agenda. Those are leftists' goals, and Dem presidential candidates are campaigning on them.

As a fellow Texan, I approve the fact that Beto is a fool and idiot.

Exactly right, Rachel.

I hope you'll increase my credit line. My rep debt is piling up.
