In times of national tragedy, a President’s traditional role is to try to bring the country closer together. Donald Trump is incapable of doing that, because he got himself elected by exploiting the divisions that tear us apart.
The country IS closer together. We know that we don't want Central American migrants entering OUR country illegally and not learning ENGLISH. Liberals are the ones trying to dilute our country with these millions of Spanish speaking, unskilled, under-educated, over-breeding parasites. It's the liberals who are destroying our country.
It was odd watching some of his public comments. He actually smiled and grinned before he got his emotions under control when initially discussing the tragedy. And his very odd head bobbing and hand gesticulations are also indications of a lack of control over neuromotor actions/movements.
His performance reminded me alot of how Robbie Parker was acting just before his press release. He too was laughing, joking and carrying on before getting his composure and emotions in check to have his speech.

The blame game is not stopping these mass shootings. There were unfortunately plenty of mass shootings under our last few Presidents. There needs to be a joint effort of Repubs and Dems to search for solutions instead of just trying to win political points or this will never be solved.
Well, it certainly won't be solved by continued "thoughts and prayers" and pledges to fix people. That's all we ever hear from Republicans, including Trump, and they're just not gonna get away with deflection much longer. If they don't wake up and begin to get ahead of this, it could hurt them badly at the polls as soon as 2020.
We know what the solution is and there's no searching required. We must get these weapons out of the hands of those who should never get near them. And that encompasses nearly everyone. It's long past time to act. Inaction puts us ALL in grave danger whatever we do, wherever we go.

It's not Trump's fault. The left would like to make it that way so that way they can shut him up. But he wont be silent. The truth is the truth. Also I am watching the news this morning the Democrats are trying for more gun control. Again I hope Trump and the other Republicans resist any attempt to restrict gun owners rights!!
Agree? The shooters manifesto was supportive of trump and his dog whistles to white supremacists has been known for years, as is support from David Duke
He incites violence. He emboldens moronic white nationalists that are easily influenced due to ignorance and bigotry. He holds Nazi rallies that promote and incite people to violence. He is a dangerous man--not only due to his own ignorance, but due to his encouragement of bigotry, xenophobia and plain old hate. His family and Congressional enablers are complicit.
Trump owns this, and when he goes out and talks the same trash next week, while the mindless chant and laugh at his disgusting words, there will be some moron listening who will start writing a manifesto, load up his gun, and plan to hunt people in public places.

A majority of Americans support the 2nd amendment so your assertion isn't based in political science.
If you had your way, people would have no option to have a gun for self defense, making them easy prey for criminals who do have guns.
There have been numerous mass shootings that were ended by a citizen with a gun.
