I would go along with requiring them to report Junior's anti-social tendencies or be jailed if Jr the wack job goes off and they did not.

In the same manner that today cops cannot walk away from the next Tracey Thurmond and those with access to kids must report suspicion of child abuse-or they face jail.

Parents accept compliments for having great kids, so must accept consequences when the inverse is true. They created the monster.

I find it hard to beiheve that a lot of these parents didn't notice any warning signs. And if they didn't notice, they were failing miserably at parenting. People don't become mass killers all of a sudden. It's years worth of pent up frustration, loneliness and rage that they csn no longer internalise until they finally snap.

Let’s say I built a robot and it malfunctioned, went out and killed 10 people...pretty sure I would get life in prison. This should be no different.

We need to force people to be fearful of what their offspring might do and they need to work tirelessly to keep them under control. Nobody is putting a gun to anybody’s head to reproduce.
Dont forget the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins... it takes a villiage, right?

You can do your best as a parent, but some kids are just bad eggs.

My parents were losers who did drugs in front of me, cheated on each other, drove drunk regularly, got me drunk at 4 years old for giggles, and encouraged me to get a boob job instead of go to college.

Thankfully I have free will and went to a good university, have a good job, am happily married, and am generally a law abiding citizen.

Free will can unfortunately work the other way as well.

I don't think witch hunts on parents who probably did their best and who are grieving for both their child and the victims is conducive to anything positive.

If you think kids are robots that you can program, you may be in for a rude awakening if you have any.

Boeing’s MCS “robot” malfunctioned and killed over 300 people. Do you honestly think any Boeing employee will spend time in prison? Back on topic — the problems we have today with young males are caused by many factors in society at large. Dealing with those issues is hard, it’s much easier to just blame the guns.

You can report your bad eggs as dangers, in advance.

We need to change can to MUST.

So at what point should behavior be considered dangerous?

anti-social rants advocating violence qualify. A kids involvement with ANTIFA qualifies.

Violence used against others in school (not in defense) qualifies.
