It's also still a fact that you have about the same chance of dying in a mass shooting as getting killed by a shark.
Tell that to the grieving families.....

The shark is a poor analogy.

I Would agree that today your odds of being struck by lightening are higher. That's today. It seems that every year it is getting worse.

I dont have the answers, but it seems to me that we owe the survivors and the families of the victims something more than statistics.

Like You I would never use any of my firearms to commit a crime. I would never bring the shame to my family and friends. Then again you and I are not complete whack job scum bags. I dont have the answer to the problem, but I am damned tired of reading about new victims all the time.

Oh, and we probably have 10X the number of innocents slaughtered as other advanced countries......

If you want to accept it as normal that's your problem. But comparing it with unrelated things (motor vehicle deaths, opiate deaths) is just plain silly.

These crimes are different.

Well, it almost seem that some people actually keep a tally of the race of the person who commit the crime and compare/contrast with crime that occurs in the inner city...

Both are examples of domestic terrorism and needs to cease!

The NRA created the meme and perpetrated it, and their reach goes far beyond their 5 million subscribers, but I'm sure you know that. Regarding carrying weapons on private property, I assume that by private property you mean businesses. But the ability for a business owner to refuse to allow guns on their premises varies from one state to another. Some have no opt out provision so there is no legal guidance for a business to disallow weapons, others make the signs and rules that must be followed so onerous that it's nearly impossible for the business to comply with all of the rules.

This explains it better than I can: https://repository.law.umich.edu/cgi...5&context=mjlr

Though she fails to mention the Dayton shooter who was apparently a big fan of her
I don't see Senator Warren blaming this on Fox News. Can you provide the direct quote?

There is a quote from Leah Greenberg linking the shooting to Faux News. Nothing directly from Liz Warren on the shooting.

The Liz Warren quote on the Twitter feed you linked was something she said back in May 2019. It appears you shot your wad too quickly on this one OP.

Default Old Yeller Elizabeth Warren and The Dayton Killer

Didn't take long for Dayton killer to snatch the Democrat ramblings right out from under them. Apparently he really loved Old Yeller (Elizabeth Warren):

Quote:
"Connor Betts, the Dayton, Ohio mass shooter, was a self-described “leftist,” who wrote that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.'”

https://heavy.com/news/2019/08/connor-betts/
Not sure if we Deplorables are the idiots or the semi-far left Democrats are the idiots in question in the quote.

So the Dayton killer is over the moon for Old Yeller aka Pocahontas aka Elizabeth Warren, praises Satan like a good lefty would, (Hitler apparently wasn't good enough for him), whines about the 2016 election results and REALLY REALLY REALLY wants socialism. Too bad the Democrat debate isn't this week. Warren is really going to need that beer.

Yeah, but you notice how silent the media and dems are about the dayton killer?

I really am starting to think all these mass murderer types are basement dwelling incels. Maybe we need to start providing mandatory hookers to boys ages 17 -25 monthly, so they get laid. And I'm only half joking....all nerdy incel types that look like they live in the basement and have no good friends or dates.

Or start a basement dwellers match.com

Still waiting for the direct quote from Warren.

This is all I see from her: "We need to call it out: Fox News is a hate-for-profit machine that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists."

Nothing about the shootings today from her in your link. Though everything in her quote is true.
