Don't talk ballistics with someone who doesn't even know what ballistics mean. Most people watch tv and see people shooting and killing from 1000 yards with a glock.

I'd rather be in a gunfight, than a knife fight.

There is no mistake with the Second Amendment

Yes, they don't live in reality but a visionary utopia that will never happen as long as there are humans involved.

It is fine to the Left that Blacks kill each other in massive numbers, daily.
How does it feel to know everything about everyone? Since, you seem to know it all, how do we stop violence against innocent victims. You have answers; but no real solutions.

So, you believe you can stop all violence with laws?

In other words you are allowed to bear arms because a well regulated militia is necessary for security of the free state. Which is very different from the position the US is in today wth vast armed forces and military reserve forces.

In terms of the US in 1791 it has recently fought a war of independence and needed an armed militia to help defend the country and secure the free state. The guns of the day were muskets and the meaning was very different and the right to bear arms was in relation to civilians keeping guns so they could form a militia if the country was attacked. Other countries had similar arrangements and had militias well before the US obtained nationhood.

In terms of Militia, it was what was used to raise Armies and firces in England from Anglo Saxon times and beyond, and the actual word militia is latin for soldier.

Militia (English) - Wikipedia

Militia (Great Britain) - Wikipedia

Militia (United States) - Wikipedia

I can't say it often enough: Google "Title 10, USC" and read it. You will find out exactly what the United States militia is! You might even find that you are a member of that Militia, and weren't aware of it!

A woman stops to get gas on her way to pick up her child from daycare. She gets back in her car and checks her phone.

Before she leaves a man jumps in and pulls a knife on her. She tells him he can have her money and reaches for her purse retrieving her gun and shoots him.

He immediately retreats out of the car and eventually into a lifelight helicopter.

So, yes, guns can prevent violence such as rape and murder. Pretty much, the only thing a woman can use to stop a man, especially one with a weapon, is a gun.

Would it have been better if her dead body was eventually found in the woods?
