Funny. You seem to both approve and disapprove of "leftists" methods. I think this is called "cognitive dissonance".

I would favor killers name not released, parents names must be released if he lived at home.
I think the issue is the thread title which is "It's time to ban reporting of mass murder".

Itís time to ban reporting of mass murder

It's nice to see someone call for unconstitutional violations of the 1st amendment for a change, instead of the usual demands for unconstitutional violations of the 2nd amendment.

We all know that the mass murderers want one thing and one thing only: notoriety. The media reporting is feeding them precisely what they want and continuing to inspire more mass murderers.

And the disgusting media is feeding off the murderers to profit.

Restrict the media from reporting mass murderers and we can fix this problem one for all.
Sounds like 1984. Don't report any bad news, only tell the people what the government wants them to hear. That is crazy, I cannot believe anyone actually thinks that is a good thing.

Click bait, obviously. Nobody is banning your freedom of speech. We just need to implement a long list of restrictions until you can’t speak. Same treatment as to the Second Amendment but this one actually works.

I think all stories should have a limit of 1 minute of air time. People saying outrageous stuff should be limited to 5 seconds. Trump's strategy of getting a bunch of attention would then need to change.

I remember an old man reporting news back in the 90's. He just read the facts like a robot. That's what we need.

Ans so the shooter in Dayton has been identified and his name released. So much for that.
