Oh, they say, that's a liberal talking point...except it isn't.

They will do anything to avoid solving the actual problem. After all, it's rarely happening to people they know.

If anyone can honestly claim that - if their wife or daughter or son got shot down in this fashion - they wouldn't change their mind about guns, then that person has a leg to stand on (not a good leg, but at least consistency in thought)......

They don't care much for someone else's family tho.

If anything, the media should report more about these. That means not throwing down the memory-hole events that contradict their narrative.

It has been decades. You still haven’t got any clue?

They want notoriety! That’s what motivates them.

They want to be on the news 24x7. They want people to remember them for decades. They want people to read and analyze their manifesto as if they were important.

You are giving them what they want and motivate more losers to become mass murderers.

While we ban the press covering mass murders we need to come up with an "official grievance period" so we will know when it's ok to talk about actual solutions to this problem rather than listen to your tired, old "political talking points" nonsense.

Anderson Cooper will not talk about the shooter of a mass shooting - -just the victims -- he started that a few years ago.

I know y'all hate CNN and especially gay Anderson Cooper -- but it is a good thing.

After that others started to refuse to name the shooter, not do profile son him.

But at the same time we...the people...want to know why.

We want to try and make sense of the tragedy.

We can't start demanding something like this not be reported. We can't. There is so much distrust with govt. and media already.....

this isn't the problem.

It's deeper.

And someone pointed out blaming video games while promoting gun ownership - -shooting ranges where you go an actually practice on targets that have a human outline is kind of sick.

Sorry if getting the news out there is inconvenient for some folks. If the coverage really makes you sicj, may I suggest not tuning it for in?

I suppose all your years working at the BAU in Quantico has prepared you to make blanket statements about ever mass murderer in history. I did not read is entire manifesto, so can you kindly point out where he said he wanted "notoriety."

A lot of murderers also want to kill people

The problem is not as simple the media reporting domestic terrorism.

American society has become bankrupt of caring - "thoughts and prayers" are generated as a kind of moral farts. People feel better getting it out of their guts, and the show goes on. The nation pigs out of hate as a form of entertainment. We are a post-millennial re-run of Germany in the 1930s.
