How then do these young mass shooters manage to get one?

Latest US mass shootings all have something in common: the AR-15 Bushmaster assault rifle

Arms is not defined, nor limited to "small arms"
If it is not specific, it is left to the peoples liberty to choose for themselves.

An assault rifle is a selective-fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine

I would suggest you also read up on the difference between semi-automatics and fully-automatics as well, and what is takes to legally own a fully-automatic weapon.

And for your point #3, how did our military fare with guerrilla warfare in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.?
Precisely on all points!

I don't give a crap about semantics! Any firearm that can kill nine people and injure a dozen more within 30 seconds is a weapon of mass destruction!

The Dayton gunman killed 9 people by firing 41 shots in 30 seconds. A high-capacity rifle helped enable that speed

You obviously don't because a car can kill a "dozen or more" in 30 seconds or less.

Almost any repeating firearm could do that. Lever, revolver, tube fed pump. ALL of them.

Any common hunting rifle made in the last 60 years works the same as the AR. As do most handguns.

Well then, lets arm the nuts with high capacity firearms instead. Is that logic the NRA is feeding its sheep these days?
