Whatever you call the weapon, the real issue for most of the public isn’t the weapon itself, but the size of the magazine. If the perps didn’t have access to large quantity magazines, the number of deaths would be dramatically less.

I believe in gun ownership for self-defense, target shooting and regulated hunting. I don’t care about “attacking our government” we give them so much money that they could wipe us out in seconds 1 million x over. I don’t need automatic weapons, bump stocks, silencers, military grade weapons, large cap mags, etc to defend myself. What I want from liberals is... don’t stop me from being able to use lethal force to defend myself, don’t give second chances or light sentences to those who break the law.

People vote for promises and ideas... motivated by feelings.

This thread reminds me of a meme I saw just today...

At the top it's Joe Biden preaching with a stern look "How many people do we have to kill before you agree with gun bans?!?!"

At the bottom is Obama facepalming... "Have to die Joe... it's how many people have to die."

Boy howdy, was that a stupid law or what?

For anyone that doesn't remember, it basically made it illegal to make (not own or sell) magazine-fed semiauto rifles with two (2) of the following features:

pistol grip, folding stock, bayonet mount, flash hider, grenade launcher.

Solution? Take off the last four items. I'm not sure what the point of that was exactly.

I mean, seriously, who thinks up this stuff?

Now, of course, people are pretending that there was an ASSAULT WEAPON BAN! because it sounds good.

Why do you think that a ten round magazine is somehow safer than a 20? Any proof?

Another low information politician cashing in on the latest tragedy. Does she realize there is an assault weapons ban in California right now? Maybe she doesn't shop at Big 5 or other stores and missed all of the semi auto firearms for sale on the rack. If she went to a Turners her melon would pop.

I suggested a ban on the AR-15 early in this legislative session but unfortunately the D-controlled house did not take heed. Pass it, and then let McConnell and Trump block it, and then lose their seats in 2020. I would also ban the AR-14, and the magnum. No, it would not solve the problem, but it would give important symbolism.

Once again, you prove your ignorance on the subject, and just like to throw words out there.

Just curious, why would you support a ban of the AR15 and not the Remington 750 Woodsmaster ?
