The New York Post is controlled by Rupert Murdoch, the right-wing media mogul who keeps in close touch with the president.

This is not the first time the Post has called for such a ban. But it is still striking to see the message on the front page of the paper, where Trump is likely to see it. Trump grew up reading the paper in New York City and continues to receive copies in Washington.

"America is terrified," the editorial reads. "President Trump, you are positioned to assuage that fear. On gun control, you are a pragmatic centrist, someone who knows there is a vast majority of Americans who are not to the extreme left or right on this issue. They just want the killings to stop."

First , define assault weapon and not a single mass shooting has ever been done with a weapon that has been used in a war. All have been civilian firearms.

Or just call the editor at "Guns and Ammo". He would be an ideal arbiter of the true meaning.

Yep. Here's a story about one from 2014. Just a good ol' boy having some fun.

Stop immigration and/or make us an island. Sure.

Better...?
That would at least be honest. It would include about half of all weapons.

Won't happen. With a sword, the killer would have to get close enough to his victim to risk retaliaton. That's why they use guns, which are the tools of cowards, designed to kill from a distance with little fear of interference.

Or the main tool for which millions of Americans put food in the freezer each year. The main tool Law Enforcement uses to do their job. The main tool our military uses to keep us the U.S. There is that.

Guns are machines that were built for wartime. Unfortunately, you got too many ******* civilians who think they are soldiers fighting some war in their heads.

Orangeman Bad is the reason the El Paso shooter felt emboldened to kill non-white people. His constant racist and xenophobic remarks were taken as a call to arms.

That's why OB is scheduled to speak this morning to try to distance himself from his own words. He knows he's gone way too far, and it's going to hurt him.
