Guns are an easy way to kill yourself, which is one of the reasons why US Suicides are up in many states but down in many pther countries.
As for murder rates they are substantial whether black or white and in terms of the prolific gun massacres they are not being carried out by blacks or other ethnic groups.
The main debate is about reducing weapons used in certain gun massacres, the same weapons legialated against in other countries after similar massacres.
Russia and Japan both highly control guns and yet they have the highest suicide rates in the world.

There never was. It was symbolic and that's it. Everyone still bought them from 1994 - 2004.
Any new "ban" will be exactly the same. There is one in CA right now and I just bought another one. A Federal ban will be no different. Everyone screaming for a ban are just wasting time.
Crazy people can do less damage if they couldn’t get their hands on a gun...absolutely no way it creates more violence. Violence of some sort will always exist but it doesn’t mean you can’t reduce it.
Sorry but you don't get to restrict my freedoms based on what you think a crazy person might do with the same freedoms.

Well, they'll be in utter shock then when gun shops don't skip a beat just like back in 94. Here in CA they never even took em off the walls as they knew well in advance the work arounds.
Uh- the first order is to defend the Constitution.
The second order, to obey the President, presumes the President is faithfully executing the Constitution. If they are not, then it is an unlawful order.
Thirdly- the military has the Posse Comitatus act of 1878 that restricts activities with regards to domestic matters, which by the way this current POTUS has stretched to its' limits.

The assault weapons ban was weak, too many exemptions and companies merely slightly modified their product line to bypass. Yet people always point to the AWB as being non-effective when in reality it wasn't meaningful legislation.

Bragging about ignoring the law really takes away from the contradicting talking point that "law abiding gun owners" are not the problem.
It sounds to me like you should title your thread "Once again, there is no such thing as a law abiding gun owner".
(I know that's not true. I own guns, and as it pertains to gun ownership laws, I am confident that I abide by the letter AND THE INTENT of the law.)
