This is a different world today here in the US of A. We quit trying to be one USA and now want to be whatever Country we immigrated from without assimilating in the normal fashion we've known. We want to keep our cultures, our languages and just be prosperous. Obviously this culture clash isn't working out so well.

If we know someone is too dangerous to own firearm, why would we allow him to roam the streets? Shouldn’t he be in a prison or something?

How does background check work for him? Can’t he just find another tool like a truck?

Only if he poses a threat. You don't usually kill 20 people at a time with a truck. Nothing is fool proof, but there are things that can be done that would at least help.

Pose what threat? He’s so dangerous that he can’t trust with a firearm. How much more do you need?

That is an oxymoronic statement
If somebody confiscates the guns they are not all confiscated -somebody has them and it’s not you -just like red China

Yeah... I did already. I was hoping that my summary of your position might cause you to walk that back a bit. Because, frankly, it's nuts.

Magically fix? I'd settle for marginal improvement.

This issue isn’t about background checks or banning certain guns. We need to understand the mindset that allowed a 21 year old to plan a mass killing on a Saturday morning and follow through with his plan. I can assure those thoughts have never entered my mind.

These politicians need to figure out the why and stop wasting time on the means.
