Hollywood: where elites hunting 'deplorables' is considered the height of entertainment..

poorly timed, to say the least.

Quote:
In the wake of a trio of deadly massacres, the studio is evaluating its strategy for the R-rated Blumhouse satire in which elites stalk "deplorables."

"Did anyone see what our rat****er-in-chief just did?" one character asks early in the screenplay for The Hunt, a Universal Pictures thriller set to open Sept. 27. Another responds: "At least The Hunt's coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."

In the aftermath of mass shootings within days of one another that shocked and traumatized the nation, Universal is re-evaluating its strategy for the certain-to-be-controversial satire. The violent, R-rated film from producer Jason Blum's Blumhouse follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals.

"Employees in different departments were questioning the wisdom of making such a movie in these times," says one filmmaker with ties to Universal. "In light of the horrific [recent shootings], is this not the most craven, irresponsible, dangerous exploitation?"

Liberals are violent by nature, so such a fantasy would appeal to them. It is ironic that they appear to oppose firearms; they do oppose firearms for everyone else but themselves.

Truly a sick movie; thus I can see why liberals would like it.

Satire?? That is no satire. They are only fooling themselves with that one.

They are clearly expressing themselves with these films.

With these movies...

1- they are looking to stoke violent behavior

or

2- they are responding to what they hear in the radical liberal echo chamber and this is how they seek to solve the issue

In either case, this is what's on their heart. And it goes back to my thread...

The Psychology of Progressive Hostility

When their utopia is threatened, they don't seek to understand the other side - they seek to remove the threat.

“Elites” hunting Trump supporters as a blood sport.

Think about that for a few minutes. They are doing a Movie about hunting down supporters of the current President of the United States as a blood sport.

Is there really any bridge too far for the Leftists. Doesn’t appear to be anything at all they will not do, or say.

Scary times we live in. It’s mind boggling.

People want to remove violence in the real world, but violence is entertainment.

Can we have gun control in Hollywood productions?

Movies are pretty simple - there's a problem, and the problem is solved in most cases. What percentage of problems are solved with guns in the movies? 75%?

Throw in the fact that underage minds that are not fully mature have access to these images. Maybe it's a movie, or TV, or a video game, or social media.

We are seeing the fruit today.

In the movie, the victims of the hunting and kidnapping are described as "deplorables" — a label adopted by some supporters of President Donald Trump after Hillary Clinton used the term during the 2016 presidential campaign.

A high-level executive reportedly said the project was considered a satire "addressing an issue of great social importance."

Big budget Hollywood 'satire' movies about liberal elites kidnapping and murdering americans who disagree with their liberal politics are a laugh riot.

From the article...

The script for The Hunt features the red-state characters wearing trucker hats and cowboy shirts, with one bragging about owning seven guns because it's his constitutional right. The blue-state characters — some equally adept with firearms — explain that they picked their targets because they expressed anti-choice positions or used the N-word on Twitter. "War is war," says one character after shoving a stiletto heel through the eye of a denim-clad hillbilly.

"Employees in different departments were questioning the wisdom of making such a movie in these times," says one filmmaker with ties to Universal. "In light of the horrific [recent shootings], is this not the most craven, irresponsible, dangerous exploitation?"

That point is countered by a Universal executive, who says the movie "is meant to show what a stupid, crazy world we live in," adding, "It might even be more powerful now."

Satires usually use comedy. Didn't see anything resembling comedy from the trailer.

Yeah, "A modest proposal" was a real thigh-slapper.

More than likely the Hollywood elite will rally around this film and proclaim it as a work of genius.
